We’re about to get an information blowout for one of the two big animated titles that are headlining Netflix’s remaining 2026 animated feature film slate and today, Netflix added another high-profile name to the voice cast of its Steps movie: Nikki Glaser.

Glaser will be playing Priscilla, described as a “villainous schemer who will stop at nothing to control everyone around her.”

Speaking about her new role, Glaser said in a statement, “It was a cathartic joy to voice the character of Priscilla – the jealous, try-hard, wannabe Princess, who’s fueled by deep-seated insecurities of unlovability and inadequacy. This role was quite a stretch for me because these are all characteristics that I do not at all relate to as a woman who has spent two decades clawing my way through show business.”

Glaser is known for her stand-up specials, including a couple that are exclusive to Netflix, such as her set on the series The Degenerates and her solo 2019 special, Bangin’. Elsewhere on Netflix she was one of the handpicked roasters for the most-watched Roast in Netflix history taking shots at Tom Brady.

Next up, Glaser is set to appear in The Fifth Wheel by Paula Pell and Janine Brito, in which she’ll star alongside Kim Kardashian.

To date, this is the fifth major star attached to the feature film. Back in December 2025, Ali Wong and Stephanie Hsu were first announced in the lead roles. In April of this year, we learned that Amanda Seyfried had joined, and a month later, Hocus Pocus star Bette Midler joined

Arriving on Netflix later in 2026, Steps marks a major milestone as the very first feature fully produced in-house by Netflix Animation Studios, bringing a new twist to a classic fairy tale. Helmed by Student Academy Award winner Alyce Tzue and Raya and the Last Dragon co-director John Ripa, the animated adventure follows supposedly “evil” stepsisters Lilith and Margot who, sick of living in Cinderella’s shadow, steal the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand. Their Royal Ball hijack accidentally breaks the story as we know it and dooms the kingdom to the tyrannical rule of a villainous schemer named Priscilla, as we now know, is voiced by Glaser. To save the realm and their own fractured relationship, Lilith is forced to team up with Cinderella to battle biker trolls and outrun evil henchmen through the Screaming Woods.

Backed by Paper Kite Productions’ Amy Poehler and Kim Lessing alongside producer Jane Hartwell, and featuring a collaborative script and story from a comedy-heavy writing team that includes Ava Tramer, James Madejski, Dana Schwartz, Felicia Ho, Jen Chuck, Riki Lindhome, and Kate Micucci, this epic quest promises to completely shatter the Cinderella mold.

We’re about to get a bunch more Steps information over the coming week as we head towards Annecy. On Tuesday morning, a work-in-progress session will be taking place, giving us more backstory into the development and production (with a release date, fingers crossed). Alyce Tzue, John Ripa, Dan Casey, and Jason Figliozzi will all be on hand to present. We’re also hoping for more coverage throughout the week, too.
