The remaining eight seasons still streaming on Netflix will be leaving Netflix on February 15th, 2018. It comes after the newer seasons were removed in 2017. Here’s what you need to know including why they’re being removed, will they be returning and where you can stream them now.
The series is being removed because of the FOX contract that wasn’t renewed last year coming to an end. In this, we’ve seen tens of titles removed from Netflix including beloved animated sitcoms like Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show and Futurama. Obviously, it’s a crushing blow for Netflix which has seen its library, particularly in the US, shrink in recent years. When is Family Guy Leaving?
The series is currently listed for complete removal on February 14th, 2018. You can keep a track of all the titles leaving Netflix in February on our tracker. It’ll leave around midnight Pacific time so we recommend you watch all the episodes up to February 13th.
Will Family Guy return to Netflix?
There would’ve been a small chance of Family Guy coming back should Netflix have realised it was a mistake not to renew the contract. However, with recent events with Disney buying up Fox, the likelihood of it returning is now slim to none.
Where else can you stream Family Guy?
As with most of Fox library that has left or is leaving Netflix, all are winding up onto Hulu. Fox obviously has an interest in Hulu given it owns 30% of the service along with their new owners, Disney.
