The wait is finally over! After playing exclusively in movie theaters over the weekend in front of screenings of Resident Evil (well, for some anyway), Netflix has officially released the first teaser trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth online for the world to see ahead of its IMAX and Netflix release later this year.
We’ve been tracking this highly anticipated Once Upon a Time in Hollywood spin-off for months, and now we finally have our first real look at Brad Pitt’s return as the coolest (and deadliest) stuntman in cinematic history. Directed by David Fincher and penned by Quentin Tarantino, the movie looks to be an absolutely wild ride through 1977 Hollywood.

For those who want to read into every single word spoken in the rapid-fire teaser, we’ve transcribed the full trailer below. It gives us a great sense of the dark, Fincher-esque tone mixed with Tarantino’s trademark sharp dialogue, along with an epic track by Led Zeppelin – the 1971 hit, “Black Dog”.
We’ve also got an expanded new synopsis:
Murder, blackmail, theft, extortion — just another summer in Hollywood. It’s 1977, eight years since Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) encountered the Manson family in Quentin Tarantino’s parallel history of 1969, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. In THE FURTHER MIS-ADVENTURES OF CLIFF BOOTH, directed by Fincher from a new script by Tarantino, the fairytale is over. Los Angeles no longer needs a hippie-slaying stuntman the way it did. But Hollywood will always have problems, problems that can only be solved by someone with Cliff’s unique (occasionally extralegal) abilities. When he’s not earning his keep bartending or as a projectionist, Cliff Booth is a fixer — solving situations for Hollywood’s greats and, sometimes, its not so good.
He’s curious when he gets a call from talent agent Karen Crosby (Elizabeth Debicki), on behalf of her client, TV megastar Charlie Peters (Scott Caan) — a man known for doing his own stunts. And he’s further entertained and intrigued when he meets other characters in Charlie’s world, from his knowing wife Toni (Carla Gugino) to pro football champion turned screen star Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). Then there are the Verdusco brothers (Matt Groove and JB Tadena), mysterious gangsters causing mayhem across the city. What was once a fairytale is now a crime story — a cocktail of violence, ambition, and desire that could only happen in LA.

Here is the full transcript from the new trailer:
“You heard the story about Bruce Lee getting his ass kicked by a stuntman yet?” the trailer opens with. “Oh, yeah,” responds a yet-to-be-identified character. “This is the guy!”
Cliff Booth: “Evening, fellas.”
Karren Karagulian as Chicken Hawk: “Do I know you from somewhere?”
Cliff Booth: “Name’s Cliff.”
Scott Caan’s character is then seen in a boardroom speaking to Debicki’s character, and a character says, “Now, I lost count of how many jokers I killed on TV, but you, you actually killed people,” to which Booth responds, “Let’s just say I know what it’s like to kill someone with a knife.” That’s, of course, referencing his interaction with the Charles Manson posse that invaded Rick Dalton’s house while he was high as a kite.
We then see Carla Gugino’s character standing in the beachside property we brought you snaps of late last year with Debicki’s character saying:
Debicki’s Character: “Charlie finally tells you what he wants from you, and all of a sudden he needs a briefcase full of cash?”
Booth: “Whatever it is you’re thinking, it’s not what you think.”
Debicki’s Character: “You worked with Rick Dalton for a number of years. What brought an end to your engagement?”
Cliff Booth: “Oh, uh, Rick got too fat for me to double him anymore.”
Cliff Booth seems to have multiple jobs. We first told you about the mud bar that would feature when we scooped Debicki joining the cast, and it looks like Cliff will be on bar duty while being quite liberal with his pouring and, just like the first movie, attracting the gaze of girls who are probably underage.

Fincher and his longtime cinematographer Erik Messerschmidt have clearly crafted a gorgeous-looking film, and this fast-paced trailer has a lot of blink-and-you-miss-it moments.

The film is getting a massive premium theatrical push, arriving in IMAX theaters globally for an exclusive two-week run starting November 25th, 2026. Following that theatrical window, it will make its grand global streaming debut on Netflix just in time for the holidays on December 23rd, 2026.
Additionally, Quentin Tarantino is publishing a novel tie-in, The Adventures of Cliff Booth, which will hit bookstore shelves on December 8th.
