Rick And Morty Season 7 Coming To Netflix

Rick and Morty was back for its seventh season on AdultSwim in the United States late last year. While Netflix doesn’t have the show in as many regions as it once did, many are already streaming season 7, and more regions are set to get the latest season in June 2024. Here’s what you need to know.

On our airwaves since 2013, the animated series has seen us follow Grandpa Rick, Grandson Morty, and the rest of the family travel across time and space, getting up to all sorts of hijinx. Season 7 marked the first season in which Justin Roiland would not be voicing either of the titular characters. This is due to numerous allegations against the creator and voice actor, although he’s since been cleared of all charges. He was replaced by Ian Cardoni, who takes on the role of Rick and Harry Belden as Morty

10 episodes make up season 7 of the show, with new episodes having begun airing on the US network beginning October 15th.

Where is Rick and Morty streaming on Netflix?

Although the series isn’t streaming on Netflix as widely as once, it is still available in many countries. Why has it been removed from so many countries? It comes down to the rights being owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, which is slowly rolling out its Max service worldwide. Naturally, it wants Rick and Morty to be front and center of its service.

Most countries that previously carried the show saw the title depart back in the summer of 2022.

According to Unogs, the show is still streaming on Netflix in at least 15 countries, including:

  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • France
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • India
  • Israel
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Lithuania
  • South Africa
  • South Korea
  • Switzerland
  • Turkey
  • United Kingdom

Rick and Morty Season 7 Arrived Weekly in Select Regions

Netflix didn’t officially confirm its weekly episode plans in most countries, but as per previous seasons (including season 6), most regions got weekly episodes of the show. All regions listed above (except the United Kingdom and a couple of others) received weekly episodes arriving the day after their US broadcast date.

Per The Wrap, the show will be airing weekly without any breaks or hiatuses this season, with the episode rollout currently expected to be:

  • Episode 1, “How Poopy Got His Poop Back”: Oct. 15
  • Episode 2, “The Jerrick Trap”: Oct. 22
  • Episode 3, “Air Force Wong”: Oct. 29
  • Episode 4, “That’s Amorte”: Nov. 5
  • Episode 5, “Unmortricken”: Nov. 12
  • Episode 6, “Rickfending Your Mort”: Nov. 19
  • Episode 7, “Wet Kuat Amortican Summer”: Nov. 26
  • Episode 8, “Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie”: Dec. 3
  • Episode 9, “Mort: Ragnarick”: Dec. 10
  • Episode 10, “Fear No Mort”: Dec. 17

When will Season 7 be streaming on Netflix in the UK and other countries?

The United Kingdom will be an exception for getting weekly episodes of Rick and Morty as per previous seasons’ schedules.

In the UK, the first-run rights reside with Channel 4, which will continue into season 7. Per the Channel 4 press release, Rick and Morty “is making a triumphant return to E4 this October.”

We had originally predicted that season 7 would be available on Netflix in October 2024, but we’re happy to report that it’s coming much earlier.  Season 7 will drop on June 19th, 2024 on Netflix UK. That’s according to a new tile in the New & Popular tab within the Netflix app.
