Production on XO, Kitty Season 3 has reportedly come to a close. Over the past 24 hours, several individuals associated with the show have posted that they’ve wrapped their portion of filming, sharing wrap merchandise hauls and pictures from the final day on set.
Since the renewal from Netflix earlier this year, the show has been remarkably quiet in terms of news updates, although that hasn’t stopped fans from picking up clues from various stories and posts from those connected to the show. Unlike season 2, we didn’t even get an official “production is underway” video from Netflix itself, although we did get to see Anna Cathcart reunited with Peter Hyo-Chul Thurnwald on set through an Instagram story.
What we do know is that Season 3 focuses on Kitty’s third semester at KISS (Korean Independent School of Seoul) and will introduce a few new characters, and that we’re now in the so-called MoonCovey Endgame.
As we reported back in February, production on XO, Kitty was gearing up for a shoot that would last at least three months, set to begin in April 2025 and originally conclude sometime in June. As it turned out, the show needed a bit more production time, with filming now having wrapped up as of mid-July 2025.
Two weeks ago, on July 1st, Michael Medico, who works on the show as a director, posted that block three had wrapped filming, writing, “That’s a wrap on block 3 season 3 of XO Kitty and my time in Seoul. I fell in love with this city, cast and crew. XO, Medico”
As first spotted by w0ndercolor on X, however, some of the South Korean crew have been posting stories on Instagram stating that filming had wrapped altogether.

Justin Cameron, a camera operator and director of photography on the series, posted an Instagram story over the last 24 hours implying he’s now headed home from Seoul after shooting season 3. A few fans on X have also speculated that we could see Kitty return to Los Angeles for Season 3 in some capacity, although there’s currently no evidence to support this.

No official word has been given on a release date or window, but our understanding is that the show aims to return sometime in the first few months of the year, with our most recent intel indicating a target month of March. Of course, this is highly subject to change as Netflix frequently repositions shows in the months leading up to their release.
Once again, special shoutout to @w0ndercolor on X for staying on top of filming throughout the entire season 3.
