It’s been a busy week for new Netflix releases so far, and below, we’ll recap all the new arrivals and highlight a few we think you should be watching right now. We’ll also take a look into what’s currently trending in the Netflix top 10 charts for January 11th, 2024.

We should also note that Netflix re-added its lineup of Nike sports training videos, which departed at the beginning of the month. Our understanding is that they’re on a short-term relicense, but hopefully, we’ll know more soon.

We begin with the SVOD debut of After Everything which promises to be the final entry in the long-running romance movie franchise that is still very popular despite its many critics.
In this final entry which hit theaters last September, we see Hardin Scott traveling to Portugal in hopes of making amends for his past behaviour after breaking up with his true love.

New from the United Kingdom today is the BBC/Netflix co-production, Champion, which dropped all eight episodes today. Featuring an all-British cast, you’ll follow a musician and his sister go from being close siblings to bitter rivals in the vibrant music scene.

We’re heading down under for our next two picks with the first being a highly anticipated new limited series from Australia based on a book – Boy Swallows Universe.
The series revolves around a boy living in 1980s Brisbane and having a rather tough upbringing with him constantly facing the brutal reality of adult life with a recovering addict mum, heroin dealer stepfather and a criminal for a babysitter.

Finally, we’d recommend checking out Mister Organ, a new licensed documentary pickup from New Zealand. Presented by David Ferrier, who you may recall also worked on the criminally underrated Netflix series Dark Tourist, begins looking into a business, which leads him to another business who are all run by a shady and dangerous man.
The NY Times reviewed it last October and gave it its much coveted NYT Critic’s Pick award, concluding, “If its title, “Mister Organ,” initially strikes you as humorous, you won’t be laughing long.”
