As we approach the midway point of the month, it’s time for another look ahead at what’s coming up on Netflix over the next seven days. It’s going to be a busy week, so let’s jump into the preliminary list of 30+ titles scheduled for this week.

A few big removals are also planned this week. On the movie front, you’ve got titles like Wanted (2008) starring Angelina Jolie and Dracula Untold (2014) leaving early in the week. Next weekend, recent Sony movies, Anyone But You starring Sydney Sweeney alongside Glen Powell, and Freud’s Last Session starring Anthony Hopkins, will also depart. Finally, we also previously reported that Killing Eve was set to leave on the 15th, but no removal date is currently displayed. We did reach out to Netflix about this, but they’ve been unable to provide any follow-up.

For a look at what’s still to come throughout the remainder of October 2025, keep it locked here on What’s on Netflix, and don’t forget we’re also tracking all the November arrivals.

Most Anticipated New Releases on Netflix This Week

I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025)

Coming to Netflix: Thursday

This week, the iconic slasher franchise makes its SVOD debut for a new generation. Coming close to 30 years after the original, it centers on a group of friends whose carefree summer night spirals into a nightmare after a deadly accident binds them together by a dark secret. One year later, as mysterious messages begin to surface and bodies start to pile up, the group realizes their past isn’t as buried as they thought.

Leading the cast is Outer Banks breakout star Madelyn Cline, stepping into her first major horror role and bringing her trademark intensity and edge to the modern retelling. Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge), the film picked up mixed reviews upon its release this summer in theaters.

The Twits (2025)

Coming to Netflix: Friday

Netflix, if you can quite believe it, acquired the entire Roald Dahl library back in 2021, and it’s been slow to get things moving. Netflix exclusively distributed the Matilda Musical alongside Sony Pictures back in 2022 and teamed up with Wes Anderson for a slew of shorts, but this week, we get the first major solo animated feature film, and it comes from the director of Wreck-It Ralph.

Bringing to life The Twits, albeit in a new reimagined story, you’ll follow the two classic villains who take over their town, with two young children teaming up to bring them down. It’s got a distinct visual style and some fantastic voice talent, including Margo Martindale, Johnny Vegas, and Natalie Portman.

We’ve got a full review and even a big new interview from a new contributor for the site coming up throughout the week, so keep your eyes peeled.

She Walks in Darkness (2025)

Coming to Netflix: Friday

As we’re now fully in Netflix’s movie prestige season, much of the attention is on Netflix’s English slate, whether that be Frankenstein, A House of Dynamite, or Jay Kelly. Perhaps overlooked this year are some of Netflix’s international movie titles, including She Walks in Darkness (Un Fantasma En La Batalla in Spanish).

The new political thriller set during “Operation Sanctuary,” the largest covert operation ever carried out against the terrorist group ETA. The story follows Amaia, an undercover Civil Guard agent who infiltrates the organization to uncover the hidden locations of its weapons and explosives. Inspired by real accounts from members of Spain’s State Security Forces involved in the fight against terrorism, the film delivers a gripping portrayal of courage and deception.

Written and directed by Agustín Díaz Yanes and produced by Belén Atienza, Sandra Hermida, and Juan Antonio Bayona, the creative team behind The Society of the Snow, the film stars Susana Abaitua, Iraia Elias, Raúl Arévalo, Ariadna Gil, and Andrés Gertrúdix. It premieres on Netflix on October 17.
