The third Pokémon Horizons series is headed to Netflix in January 2026! The next season will continue the journey of Riko and Loy as new friends join them on adventures across the Pokémon world.
Pokémon Horizons: Season 3—Rising Hope is the 28th season of the Pokémon anime and the third installment of the Horizons story.
The first season introduced the characters of Liko and Roy, who take over as the series’ protagonists from Ash Ketchum. The pair traveled with the Rising Volt Tacklers, but in the second season, they decided to improve their Pokémon training and learn more about their Pokémon companions.
The third season takes place a year after the events of season 2, as Liko and Roy re-establish a now leaderless Rising Volt Tacklers. Joining them on their journey are Roy’s new yellow Lucario, Dot, an expert intel gatherer, and Ult, who declares himself Roy’s rival.
When is Pokémon Horizons: Season 3—Rising Hope coming to Netflix?
The official Pokémon website has announced that Pokémon Horizons: Season 3—Rising Hope will be released on Netflix on January 6, 2026!
How many episodes can we expect to see on Netflix?
With every new Pokémon series on Netflix, episodes are released in multiple parts. We expect Rising Hope will not be the exception, and that part 1 will deliver at least 11 new episodes.

At the time of writing, Rising Hope has already released 23 episodes. New Horizons had a total of 45 episodes, and The Search for Laqua had 44. Netflix is always months behind the Japanese broadcast, and since episodes aren’t simulcast on the streaming service, we’d expect to see at least another 20 episodes before the end of Rising Hope.
As such, we’d expect to see the following schedule for the remainder of 2026:
- Part 2 March – May 2026.
- Part 3 June – August 2026.
- Part 4 September – November 2026.
