Anime Nyc Netflix Panel Reveals

Netflix Animation sure knows how to put on a show. Just a few months following their impressive Annecy Animation Festival lineup, Netflix is showcasing another selection of its adult animation lineup at Anime NYC, and they’ve also released quite a lot of new assets to the public! Here’s what just got announced.

For those in the audience, you got to see a bunch of clips and first looks and teases about Netflix’s upcoming lineup, including insights with various panelists, including Derek Kolstad, Jane Wu, Michael Green, and Vinnie Hacker.

Let’s run through all the new trailers and first looks that just dropped:

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch Will Release in October 2025

October 14th is the date set for Netflix’s long-awaited Splinter Cell adaptation that’s been publicly announced for five years now. Furthermore, Liev Schrieber won’t be facing his journey alone, with The Sandman season 2 alum Kirby Howell-Baptiste officially confirmed during the panel to be voicing agent Zinnia McKenna. Janet Varney also joins as Anna Grimsdottir, while Joel Oulette will play Thunder.

We got a bunch of photos, which you can find in our updated preview for the new series here, but below is the new teaser trailer:

Devil May Cry Season 2 Will Return in 2026

Renewed after a single week on the platform following its release on April 3rd, Adi Shankar’s Devil May Cry put in a surprisingly good performance in the Netflix top 10s ranking for 2 weeks and eventually picking up 18.2M views for the first half of the year, we thankfully won’t be waiting years for the return for DMC with a 2026 return now confirmed.

“You said I was too dangerous for the world,” the trailer begins with the stakes being set for the second season, with Dante going up against his big brother. Three stills were also released, which are from episode 3 of the new season, showcasing the big fight to come.

Blue Eye Samurai (Season 2)

Netflix caused some confusion yesterday with its new poster reveal for Blue Eye Samurai season 2, with perhaps clumsy wording suggesting that Blue Eye Samurai S2 has only just gotten into production. Thankfully, that’s not the case with significant progress having been made over the past year or so. Better still, new footage and a new featurette (which does appear to be similar/same to the one previewed at Annecy) break down what we can expect in season 2.

Michael Green and Amber Noizumi, co-creators of Blue Eye Samurai, alongside executive producer Jane Blue, previewed the next chapter of Mizu’s journey. They explain that “revenge is her religion” and in Season 2, “at least two of the men she’s out to kill are going to be somewhere in this magical place called London.” The season opens with Mizu “breaking in somewhere to kill someone,” and fans can expect to see the sword maker, Tygen, Ringo, and Akemi, with hints that “maybe some people you thought died… maybe are still alive.” Reflecting on the show’s success, the creators admitted, “We had no idea if anyone would be interested… so we wanted to say thank you to the fans for showing up.” They close by promising, “I can’t wait to share what we have in store for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.”

Below are the two new stills for season 2, which come from episode 2:
