It’s been a long shoot for The Night Agent, which kicked off in Istanbul, Turkey, late last year and continued throughout much of 2025, with 10 new episodes being put into production. Most of your favorites are returning in addition to series newcomers like Jennifer Morrison, Stephen Moyer, Genesis Rodriguez, Callum Vinson, David Lyons, Chibuikem Uche, and Michael Masini. Overnight, we got word that filming is now done-done with some of the cast and crew having already celebrated wrapping on the new season late last month.
Kicking off on or around November 24th, 2024, this season promises to be the biggest yet, with the series traveling around the world for the next batch of episodes produced by Sony Pictures Television.
Shawn Ryan officially announced the wrap of season 3 of The Night Agent on X on July 14th, writing:
“New York, Washington, D.C., Turkey, Mexico, Dominican Republic… We hit them all. Season 3 of #TheNightAgent has officially wrapped production.”
Although Shawn Ryan’s post came in mid-July, most of the cast and crew celebrated their wrap towards the end of June. A crew member, with the Instagram handle crackedhalo_, posted on June 28th:
“It’s a wrap on the Netflix series The Night Agent season 3!! Lots of long hours filled working with a mixed bag of crew personalities lol but overall great human beings, dope and at times very cold exterior locations and a lot of behind the scenes hijinks lol amonst the crew. It’s a privilege to work in an industry with individuals who are truly passionate about what they do!!”
Another crew member posted from the wrap party on June 19th, while Tanya Madison, who plays a stunt double on the series, posted on June 23rd, “Netflix called and said that’s a wrap on Season 3! Already missing this incredible cast and crew. Another cast member posted that they wrapped up on June 7th.
Due to the globe-trotting nature of the show, some crews will have wrapped up much sooner than others, which is why there are discrepancies.
What does this mean for season 3’s release date?
Well, there’s no official announcement on this, although the series is not expected to return in 2025, given that it has missed all the schedules Netflix has released thus far. No surprise there. What does our intel currently say? Our understanding is that Netflix is targeting a very early 2026 return. As you may recall, Season 2 was released on January 23rd, 2025, and our understanding is that the hope is to release the new season around that time, with January 22nd, 2026, currently eyed. Of course, this isn’t set in stone, so we’ll have to wait and learn more once Netflix is ready to drop the official news about Peter Sutherland’s return.
