What’s the movie about?

The movie is based on the 2014 novel of the same name which was written by Jenny Han. It tells the story of a high schooler who has all of her love letters sent out to her crushes from over the years. She then has to get a fake boyfriend to help deal with her situation.

7.9 on IMDb, 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and 62 on Metacritic

The movie has been an instant hit with fans and most of the critics around the world. Fans, in particular, praised how close it stuck to the book the movie is based on and also praised the lead actress.

We find Cady Lang’s review in Time.com to be the aggregated voice of the critics saying: “Its heartwarming and clear-eyed approach to first love and the challenges of coming-of-age distinguishes it from its contemporaries.”
