It turned out to be an incredibly busy week regarding new releases on Netflix with 14 new movies, 12 new series, and one new game joining the Netflix US catalog. Below, we’ll break down our four must-watch titles for the weekend, the full list, and what’s been trending in the daily Netflix US top 10s.

In case you missed it earlier in the week, Netflix has released its full list of upcoming new titles for October 2025. We’ve already worked through some of the highlights and will have more coverage in the days to come.

Now, let’s get into what you can watch on Netflix right now:

What to Watch on Netflix This Weekend

Karate Kid: Legends (2025)

Rating: PG-13
Language: English
Genre: Action, Drama, Family
Director: Jonathan Entwistle
Cast: Jackie Chan, Ben Wang, Joshua Jackson
Writer: Rob Lieber, Robert Mark Kamen
Runtime: 94 min

For two weekends on the trot now, we’ve had new theatrical movies from Sony that release over the summer dropping on Netflix in the first window. Next up is one that Cobra Kai fans will definitely want to check out in the form of the latest Karate Kid movie that pulls some old faces from the past, named Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio, plus some new ones, for a film that did disappoint at the box office but is still very much worthy of a fun weekend watch.

Since the movie is a new release from Sony Pictures, you’ll need to be on a premium Netflix tier to watch it. In other words, if you get ads on Netflix, this movie will be blocked from viewing.

Hit & Run (2012)

Rating: R
Language: English
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy
Director: David Palmer, Dax Shepard
Cast: Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell, Bradley Cooper
Writer: Dax Shepard
Runtime: 100 min / 1h 40m

If you’re like us, you’re probably getting ready for the big return of Nobody Wants This season 2, which returns on October 23rd, but if you need something starring Kristen Bell to get you to the finish line (especially now that The Good Place has left) then this movie, where she stars alongside her partner, may be for you.

Now 13 years old, the plot of the action comedy revolves around a former getaway driver named Charlie Bronson, who jeopardizes his Witness Protection Plan identity to help his girlfriend get to Los Angeles, and the feds (plus some other unsavoury characters) soon catch on.

House of Guinness (Season 1)

Number of episodes: 8
Rating: TV-MA
Language: English
Genre: Biography, Drama, History
Cast: Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn
Writer: Steven Knight

Three huge series dropped from Netflix on Thursday, with Wayward from Canada and Alice in Borderland from Japan. Ultimately, though, if we were to get you to watch one of these, it’d be House of Guinness, the latest project from Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight. Filled with a brilliant cast, the show looks back at the events that followed the patriarch of the famous alcoholic beverage company’s death and his kids taking over in his stead.

In our review for the series, which gave the series a four out of five rating, we concluded, “House of Guinness is an excellent series, whether you’re a big fan of the beverage seeking to delve a little deeper into its origins or simply a fan of finely woven and complex historical dramas. It delivers excellence in nearly all respects. It’s dark, rich, and leaves you satisfied — much like a good pint of Guinness.”
