Say au revoir to Netflix’s favorite American expat. Emily in Paris will officially return for a sixth season, but Netflix has confirmed it will be the final chapter for the hit fashion comedy. Here’s everything we know about the final season of Emily in Paris.
Created by Darren Star, Emily in Paris has been a massive global hit for Netflix since it first debuted, taking subscribers on a whirlwind tour of romance, high fashion, and marketing hijinks. But all good things must come to an end.
Today, Netflix officially announced that Season 6 is in production, something fans have clocked thanks to local media covering its ongoing filming. But rather than starting in the City of Light, Emily is taking her final escapades on the road. Filming for the final season has officially begun in Greece, before the cast and crew jet off to Monaco, and finally return to Paris for a chic send-off. The cast and crew have been spotted specifically on the island of Mykonos, with them set up filming in front of the island’s iconic Windmills earlier this week.
That outlet also teased another tidbit about season 6, “Two well-known Greek women in the showbiz world will take part in the filming. One has participated in fashion shows in the past, and the second is active in the music industry, doing public relations for a favorite artist.”
Emily in Paris is Ending With Season 6
Series star and producer Lily Collins broke the news to fans in a newly released video announcement featuring behind-the-scenes glimpses of the cast.
“Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime,” Collins shared in the video. “I can’t wait for all the magic ahead and to celebrate our final season with you in the most chic way yet! I’m so incredibly grateful.”
Creator, writer, and executive producer Darren Star also released a heartfelt statement thanking fans for making the series a global phenomenon:
“Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime. As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us. We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have Emily in Paris!”
What to expect from Emily in Paris Season 6
If you need a quick refresher on where we left off: Season 5 took us on a gorgeous Roman holiday. Emily found herself swept up in a romance with Italian cashmere heir Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), but as always, Paris called her home.
Meanwhile, her best friend Mindy (Ashley Park) got engaged to fashion designer Nicolas de Léon (Paul Forman). However, the sparks between Mindy and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) proved incredibly hard to extinguish, setting up some major romantic tension for the final batch of episodes.
Fans can expect all their favorite Agence Grateau colleagues and Parisian friends to return. Alongside Collins, Park, and Laviscount, the announcement video confirmed appearances by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), and William Abadie (Antoine Lambert).
We’ll keep you posted as soon as Netflix drops more release date news, but the series has already been confirmed for a 2026 return, so expect it sometime between November and December, although given our intel is that the new season won’t wrap until the end of September, it might even cross over into 2027.
This is the latest show announced to conclude, with other high-profile shows like The Night Agent and The Lincoln Lawyer also now confirmed to be coming to an end.
