After a successful debut, Netflix swiftly renewed the romantic-sports drama Finding Her Edge. As fans wait with baited breathe to learn more, we can confirm that filming for the second season is to get underway in September 2026, and we expect the series to return sometime in the second half of 2027.
Finding Her Edge is a romantic drama series based on Jennifer Iacopelli’s novel of the same name, which became a viral sensation on TikTok’s thriving BookTok community before being developed for television by Jeff Norton and Shelley Scarrow.
With the weight of her family’s legacy on her shoulders and heartache threatening to throw her off balance, Adriana (Madelyn Keys) must navigate the high-stakes world of competitive skating once again. As she trains with Brayden (Cale Ambrozic), their on-ice chemistry grows, blurring the lines between performance and reality. Torn between lingering feelings for Freddie (Ollie Watkins) and her growing connection to Brayden, Adriana must decide what truly matters: protecting her family’s future, following her heart, or reclaiming her own dreams. What is the production status of Finding Her Edge season 2?
It has been reported in issue 1503 of Production Weekly that filming for season 2 of Finding Her Edge will begin in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, on September 26, 2026, and will conclude by December 16, 2026.
As always, filming dates are subject to change.
What does the production mean for the Netflix release date?
With filming to end in December 2026, we can already rule out an early 2026 return.
If we use the 11 months and 12 days between the start of filming and the release of the first season, we can make an educated guess about when the second season will be released on Netflix.
With filming starting in late September 2026, Finding Her Edge season 2 could be released sometime in Q3 2027 (July-September).
