After a successful debut, Netflix swiftly renewed the romantic-sports drama Finding Her Edge. As fans wait with bated breath to learn more, we have a brand-new filming update: the start has been moved from September 2026 to August 2026. We expect the series to return sometime in the second half of 2027.
Finding Her Edge is a romantic drama series based on Jennifer Iacopelli’s novel of the same name, which became a viral sensation on TikTok’s thriving BookTok community before being developed for television by Jeff Norton and Shelley Scarrow.
With the weight of her family’s legacy on her shoulders and heartache threatening to throw her off balance, Adriana (Madelyn Keys) must navigate the high-stakes world of competitive skating once again. As she trains with Brayden (Cale Ambrozic), their on-ice chemistry grows, blurring the lines between performance and reality. Torn between lingering feelings for Freddie (Ollie Watkins) and her growing connection to Brayden, Adriana must decide what truly matters: protecting her family’s future, following her heart, or reclaiming her own dreams. In the end, Adriana learns that finding her edge, both on and off the ice, means embracing risk, opening herself to love, and forging her own path forward.

What is the production status of Finding Her Edge season 2?
It was reported in issue 1503 of Production Weekly that filming for season 2 of Finding Her Edge will begin on September 26, 2026, and conclude by December 16, 2026.
However, in issue 1507 of Production Weekly, it was reported that filming will now start on August 24, 2026, and conclude by December 14, 2026.
Filming will take place in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
As always, filming dates are subject to change.
What does the production mean for the Netflix release date?
With filming to end in December 2026, we can already rule out an early 2026 return.
If we use the 11 months and 12 days between the start of filming and the release of the first season, we can make an educated guess about when the second season will be released on Netflix.
With filming now set to start in late August 2026, Finding Her Edge season 2 could be released sometime between June and August 2027.
