Summer is officially here! As we cross into mid-July (can you believe it’s already mid-July?), we thought it was the perfect time to check in on our massive Spring and Early Summer previews to see which Netflix Originals are still rolling cameras and which ones are about to start—and exactly where in the world you might spot them.
If you’re wondering when your favorite returning series or most anticipated movie will wrap production, we’ve got you covered.
Note: If you’re looking for projects like Untamed Season 2, The Diplomat Season 4, or Rabbit, Rabbit, they have already called “cut” and wrapped production! Also, some sad news for Millie Bobby Brown fans: her upcoming movie Perfect has officially been scrapped.
Even more important note: All filming dates and locations are highly subject to change.
Let’s dive into what’s currently filming for Netflix across the globe for the rest of Summer and Fall 2026 and we’ll be excluding a few we know about but can’t talk about yet (hush hush!).

If you’re eager for these titles, the good news is they are in the home stretch!
- Positano (Working Title: Tonno) – Matthew McConaughey and Zoe Saldaña are teaming up for this brand new romantic comedy from Working Title films and director Daniel Roher. Cameras have been rolling since early May and are scheduled to call a wrap very soon on July 23rd. As the title suggests, the production is taking full advantage of beautiful Italian backdrops, filming on location across Rome, Lombardy, and Positano, Italy.
- The Cackling of the Dodos – Cameras are expected to stop rolling by mid-July. This one has been utilizing locations across New Jersey.
- The Big Fix – Mark Wahlberg and Riz Ahmed’s new crime thriller has been busy filming in Sydney, Australia, and was aiming for a late-July wrap.
- Under Paris 2 – Following the massive success of the first film, Bérénice Bejo and Nassim Lyes Si Ahmed are returning as Sophia and Adil to navigate a completely submerged, post-apocalyptic Paris. Horror veteran Alexandre Aja (Crawl) is stepping into the director’s chair this time around. Cameras have been rolling since early May and are eyeing a late July wrap, with the shark-infested production filming across France and Brussels, Belgium.
Filming Through August & Beyond
- 13 Going on 30 – The highly anticipated reboot is currently filming in Los Angeles, California, and is scheduled to run through mid-August.

- A Matter of Time – Ben Stiller, Nicholas Galitzine, and Bella Maclean are teaming up for this brand new fantasy rom-com! Directed by Harry Bradbeer (Enola Holmes, Fleabag), the movie follows a reclusive man who is convinced by an unlikely angel to give up his life for the greater good—only to accidentally spark a romance that threatens to change history. As of early July, cameras are officially rolling on location in London, UK, though a firm wrap date is currently TBD.
- Bad Bridgets – Produced by Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment, this 19th-century period thriller based on the book by Elaine Farrell and Leanne McCormick just started rolling cameras on July 6th and will run through September 4th. Filming is currently taking place across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
- Gundam (Working Title: Teardrop) – Netflix’s massive live-action adaptation of the iconic giant robot mecha anime! With Jim Mickle (Sweet Tooth) taking over the director’s chair, and stars like Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo attached, cameras have actually been rolling since late April. Production is taking place Down Under in Gold Coast and Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and is gearing up for a late July wrap.

- Grown Ups 3 – Adam Sandler and the Happy Madison crew are officially back for a third round, but this time the comedy franchise has moved from Sony to Netflix! Directed by Kyle Newacheck (Murder Mystery), cameras just started rolling on July 6th and are scheduled to run through October 14th. The production is globe-trotting for this installment, shooting across New Jersey and Boston, Massachusetts in the US, as well as internationally in France and Italy.
- Extraction 3 – Chris Hemsworth is back in action! Cameras are currently rolling in Sydney, Australia, and will run all the way through October. It’ll also have a stop off in Thailand this time round we’re told.
- Untitled John Lee Hancock Monsanto Film (formerly Monsanto) – This true-story legal drama about the infamous Roundup weed killer lawsuit boasts an incredibly star-studded cast. With Jonathan Bailey stepping into the lead (taking over the role previously attached to Glen Powell), he’s joined by heavy hitters like Laura Dern, LaKeith Stanfield, David Duchovny, and Greg Kinnear. Directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and produced by Adam McKay (Don’t Look Up), cameras started rolling on June 15th and are scheduled to wrap on August 15th, with filming taking place on location in Bavaria, Germany.

- Better Than the Movies – Calling all YA rom-com fans! Based on the beloved, hit novel by Lynn Painter, this upcoming teen romance follows high schooler Liz Buxbaum as she schemes to win over her crush with the help of her annoying-but-cute next-door neighbor. Directed by Julia Hart (Fast Color, Stargirl), this one is gearing up to start filming in Chicago, Illinois, with a quick shoot running from mid-September through mid-October.
- Twist of Fate – Eyed a June start and splits its production time between the United Kingdom and France.
The only movie that’s currently a big TBD is Hannibal – The long-awaited project is currently shooting on location in Rome, Italy, with production having expected to start recently, the movie is on hold and according to one interview, is dead.

- The Boys From Brazil (Season 1) – The Jeremy Strong-led historical thriller is scheduled to wrap sometime in July following an extensive shoot across the UK, Germany, Bulgaria, and Spain.
- The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 5) – Mickey Haller is back! Production runs through mid-July in Los Angeles, California.
- Virgin River (Season 8) – Mel and Jack’s latest chapter is scheduled to wrap on August 10th in Vancouver, British Columbia.
- The Woods (Season 1) – A new Harlan Coben adaptation filming in the North of England.
Currently Filming
- A Hundred Percent (Working Title: 100%) – Get ready for a hilarious new workplace comedy! Created by Nick Kroll and Gabe Liedman, this half-hour series follows a group of friends working inside the “Thought Leader” industrial complex whose messy real lives are far from the perfect wellness personas they project on their podcasts. The absolutely stacked comedic cast includes Nick Kroll, Vanessa Bayer, Jason Mantzoukas, Sam Richardson, and Diane Lane. Cameras started rolling in late June and are scheduled to wrap on August 28th, with production based in Los Angeles, California.

- Assassin’s Creed (Season 1) – Runs through mid-October across various European locations.
- Bet (Season 2) – We finally have the exact wrap date for the second season of this live-action adaptation of the hit anime Kakegurui! You can officially cross this one off the “Ongoing Productions” list, as cameras have been rolling since June 3rd and are scheduled to wrap up very soon on August 13th. Production for the high-stakes thriller is currently taking place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Bridgerton (Season 5) – The ton is bustling in London, UK. Expected to wrap by early Fall.
- Dept. Q (Season 2) – Deep into filming in Edinburgh, Scotland as of July 2026. Expected to continue through to December.
- Emily in Paris (Season 6) – Runs through late September across Paris, France and a myriad of other places including Greece and Monaco.
- Forever (Season 2) – Runs through September in Los Angeles, California.
- Little House on the Prairie (Season 2) – Runs through late October in the US.
- Scooby Doo: Origins (Season 1) – Production on the live-action prequel runs through mid-September in Atlanta, Georgia.
- The God of the Woods – Based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Liz Moore (who is co-showrunning alongside The Dropout’s Liz Hannah), this multigenerational mystery explores a family’s dark secrets following the disappearance of a 13-year-old girl from their summer camp. The stacked cast features Maya Hawke, Kerry Condon, Nell Fisher, and Damon Gupton. Cameras officially started rolling on June 8th and will run through September 18th, with filming taking place in Newburgh, New York (which is doubling for the Adirondacks).
- The Granville Girls (Season 1) – This new period romance runs through late September, bringing the Canadian Rockies to life in Calgary, Alberta.
- The Lord’s Day kicked off in the Spring. May have wrapped already but unclear. Filmed its six episode in the United Kingdom.

- The Night Agent (Season 4) – Runs through September, shooting on location in California for its final outing.
- Wednesday (Season 3) – We have to give a special shoutout to Wednesday! The smash-hit series had an original wrap date in May, but reports on the ground indicate the shoot in County Wicklow, Ireland, is going on for “much longer.”
Production Starting Soon
These shows are just now firing up their engines, meaning they’ll be occupying production lots for the rest of the year.
- Black Diamond – This brand new series is officially gearing up to shoot Down Under! Brought to us by writer/producer Chloe Stearns and director Glendyn Ivin (Penguin Bloom, The Cry), the production is setting up shop in the breathtaking landscapes of Queenstown, New Zealand. Cameras are scheduled to start rolling this month (July 2026) and will keep busy through October.
- Big Mistakes (Season 2) – Get ready for more laughs, because this comedy series is officially returning for a second round! Cameras are currently in pre-production and are slated to start rolling on August 24th, with a shoot scheduled to run through November 7th. Filming will take place in Jersey City, New Jersey.
- Enigma Variations (Working Title: Dolce) – Based on the acclaimed novel by André Aciman (Call Me by Your Name), this limited series explores a sweeping, ten-year portrait of masculinity and modern love. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is stepping into the lead role of Paul (taking over from previously attached Jeremy Allen White) and will star alongside Alicia Vikander. While previous intel suggested a UK shoot, cameras are actually gearing up to film across Jersey City, New Jersey, and the gorgeous coastal town of Monte Sant’Angelo, Italy. Production officially kicks off on August 3rd and will run through November 6th.

- Finding Her Edge (Season 2) (Working Title: Precision) – The Canadian drama series is officially lacing up for a second season! Currently in pre-production, cameras are gearing up to roll late this summer on August 24th, with a lengthy shoot scheduled to run all the way through December 14th. Production will be setting up shop on location in Barrie and Orillia, Ontario, Canada.
- God Mode – (Formerly titled Thumblite). Pushed to a July start in California.
- Free Bert (Season 2) – Expected to begin this summer in the US.
- How to Kill Your Family – Pushed back to October start in London, UK.
- Icebreaker – Get ready for a massive BookTok adaptation! Based on the viral sensation, this enemies-to-lovers romance follows Anastasia, a competitive figure skater whose Olympic dreams are complicated when a facilities mishap forces her to share a rink with Nate Hawkins, the captain of the college hockey team. Brought to the screen by showrunner Amanda Lasher and producers including Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper and Matt Kaplan, cameras are scheduled to roll from late September through mid-February 2027. Production will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia (standing in for the fictional University of California, Maple Hills).
- I Suck at Girls – From Ted Lasso and Shrinking executive producer Bill Lawrence and showrunners Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker (Abbott Elementary, Harley Quinn), this new single-camera coming-of-age comedy follows three awkward high school sophomores stumbling through the messy world of teenage romance. Starring Kayo Martin, Laila Pruitt, and Jeremy Ray Taylor, cameras are officially gearing up to roll on July 16th and will shoot through October 16th in Los Angeles, California.
- Myron Bolitar – We now have exact dates and an official cast list for this highly anticipated adaptation of Harlan Coben’s hit detective novels! Brought to the screen by television powerhouse David E. Kelley (The Lincoln Lawyer, Big Little Lies), the series follows an ex-NBA hopeful turned sports agent. Colin Woodell will star in the titular role, joined by KJ Apa as Win Lockwood and Diane Guerrero as Esperanza Diaz. Cameras are officially set to roll from July 27th through November 9th, with filming taking place across New York and New Jersey.
- My Life with the Walter Boys (Season 4) – The hit teen romance series is heading back to Calgary, Alberta, Canada (which beautifully doubles for rural Colorado) to continue the story. Cameras are scheduled to start rolling on July 27th and will keep busy through November 20th.
- Pagans – While previous intel suggested an August start in the UK and Ireland, this highly anticipated supernatural thriller from creator/showrunner Josh Zetumer and executive producer Drew Goddard (Daredevil, The Good Place) is actually gearing up to film in New York. Snapped up by Netflix after a massive bidding war, the series follows a widowed father whose relationship with his highly unusual daughter takes a sinister, terrifying, and darkly humorous turn. Cameras are now officially slated to roll from late October through mid-January 2027.
- Project Marion – Slated to begin in Albuquerque, New Mexico, toward the end of the year.
- The Corrections – Meryl Streep is heading to Netflix! Based on Jonathan Franzen’s National Book Award-winning novel (with Franzen himself adapting and executive producing), this limited series offers a sharply comic portrait of a Midwestern family whose unmoored adult children resist their mother’s wish for one last Christmas together. Oscar-winner Cord Jefferson (American Fiction) is set to direct, with Streep starring as the family matriarch, Enid. Cameras are slated to roll from mid-November through mid-April 2027, with filming taking place across New York City and New Jersey.
- The Retrievals – Based on the Peabody Award-winning New York Times podcast by Susan Burton, this gripping (and surprisingly funny) true-story limited series follows a woman’s crusade against the Yale Fertility Center after dozens of patients were operated on without anesthesia due to a nurse stealing their fentanyl. Brought to the screen by showrunner Molly Smith Metzler (Maid) and Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment, cameras are set to roll in New York City, New York, starting in mid-September and running all the way through mid-February 2027.
- This Summer Will Be Different – We have a big update for this highly anticipated adaptation of Carley Fortune’s hit romance novel! While previous intel pointed to a July start, cameras are actually officially slated to roll from August 31st through October 16th. The series follows Lucy, who hooks up with a local named Felix during her annual beach vacation, only to discover he’s her best friend’s younger brother. Directed by Karen Maine (Starstruck, Yes, God, Yes) and adapted by writers Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart, the production will be capturing those gorgeous coastal vibes on location in Prince Edward Island and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- The Roman (Working Title: Vegas) – Set in the high-stakes, sharp-elbowed world of the modern Las Vegas casino business, this highly anticipated series from creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Billions) boasts Martin Scorsese as an executive producer! The stacked cast is led by Oscar Isaac as casino president Bobby Redman, alongside Alec Baldwin, Betty Gilpin, David Costabile, and Jimmy O. Yang. While the show takes place in Vegas, cameras are actually scheduled to roll in Brooklyn, New York, starting on July 20th, with an extensive shoot running through December 4th.
- Trigger Point – Created by Harrison Query and featuring Rebel Ridge director Jeremy Saulnier helming the pilot, the series follows a group of former Tier One Special Forces operators who sell their deadly skills to the criminal underworld, all while being hunted down by a relentless FBI agent. Joel Edgerton is officially attached to star in the lead role of Red. Cameras are slated to start rolling in mid-November and will keep busy through mid-April 2027, with filming taking place across New York City and New Jersey.
- Untitled Robert Langdon Series (Working Title: Trident / AKA: The Secret of Secrets) – Dan Brown’s iconic symbologist is heading to Netflix! Based on Brown’s upcoming novel, this thrilling new series follows Robert Langdon racing against ancient forces to rescue a missing scientist and her groundbreaking manuscript. Brought to the screen by showrunner Carlton Cuse (Lost, Jack Ryan) with Dan Brown himself serving as a co-creator and writer, this massive globe-trotting production is slated to start filming in late August and will run all the way through mid-March 2027. Cameras will be rolling across Prague, Czech Republic, and New York City, New York.
