Looking for a specific song from Netflix’s brand-new romantic dramedy Voicemails for Isabelle? You’ve come to the right place. Here is the complete soundtrack guide to the new Zoey Deutch and Nick Robinson movie.
Arriving on Netflix globally today, June 19th, Voicemails for Isabelle brings a fresh, emotional twist to the classic rom-com formula. Written and directed by Leah McKendrick, the movie follows Jill (Deutch), a chaotic but lovable young woman struggling to cope with the tragic loss of her sister. To process her grief, Jill continues leaving hilariously confessional voicemails on her late sister’s phone. Unbeknownst to her, the number has been reassigned to Wes (Robinson), an Austin-based real estate agent who finds himself falling for the voice on the other end of the line.
Before diving into the music, if you’re wondering whether this heartfelt tear-jerker is worth adding to your weekend watchlist, be sure to check out our review of Voicemails for Isabelle here.
You can’t have an epic, cross-country romance without an equally powerful soundtrack. Accompanying the original score composed by Este Haim and Amanda Yamate, the movie’s tracklist is absolutely stacked with recognizable hits. Because the film masterfully threads the needle between family tragedy and new love, the music perfectly reflects that mixed tone. You’ll hear upbeat dance-crying anthems like Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own,” alongside devastatingly beautiful tracks like Taylor Swift’s “marjorie” and Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things.”
