A Little Help with Carol Burnett – Netflix

Another Netflix talk show has bitten the dust as its now been confirmed that A Little Help With Carol Burnett won’t be returning for season 2 at Netflix. Here’s a look into the first season and why it potentially won’t be returning.

The actress and performer has had a long career in the entertainment industry. From her well-known roles in the likes of The Carol Burnett Show, Annie and Carol & Company to her more recent contributions to Toy Story 4 and Hawaii Five-0.

The talk show first released back in May 2018 on Netflix across the world.

The status of the show has been unknown for quite some time. We reached out to Dick Clark Productions, the studio behind the production who confirmed to us that “There will not be a second season of ‘A Little Help with Carol Burnett’ on Netflix.”

It joins a growing list of talk shows that have failed to get an audience on Netflix with Chelsea, The Break, Joel McHale and as we discussed recently, Norm MacDonald’s talk show all failing to get new seasons.

Why was A Little Help with Carol Burnett canceled?

We weren’t’ given an official answer as to why A Little Help with Carol Burnett won’t be returning but we can narrow it down to a few things.

Firstly, the format of the show was met with a luke-warm reception. It relied on Carol talking to kids to give out advice to celebrities and a live studio audience.

In almost all instances of cancelations at Netflix, it comes down to two things. Not enough people started watching and perhaps, more importantly, those that did, didn’t finish.

It’s also worth noting the production company behind the show also produced Beyond Stranger Things which also failed to return for another season recently.

Do you wish the show would return for a second season? Let us know in the comments.
