September is taking shape to be a very exciting month of new K-dramas on Netflix. Subscribers can look forward to the debut of The Scandal, a steamy drama and adaptation of the beloved 2003 Korean film. Yeom Jung Ah and Hwang Jung Min also return for the Mission: Cross sequel; meanwhile, Song Kang’s return to Netflix in Four Hands, Two Sonatas will be in full swing.

Netflix has yet to officially announce that The Scandal will be released in September, but given the streaming service’s K-drama release schedule, it’s all but certain the series will be released on September 18, 2026.
Set towards the end of the Joseon Dynasty, Madam Jo lives as a devoted wife, but secretly resents the restrictions society places on her. Madam Jo has held many discreet relationships with other men. Jo Won is an accomplished scholar and a skilled martial artist. His real passion, though, is seducing other women. Madam Jo is his first love. Since that time, they have engaged in high-stakes games of seduction and love. They both hide their true feelings for each other. Madam Jo then sets Jo Won upon the innocent So Ok, who will become her husband’s concubine.

There is no confirmed release date yet for Mission: Cross 2, but with the film scheduled for a Q3 release and no release date announced for August 2026, this all points toward a September 2026 release. We expect full confirmation with first-look photos, key art, and a trailer soon.

While the K-drama has yet to be released on Netflix, it is one of the most anticipated weekly releases of the year thanks to the return of Song Kang, the actor who has built nearly his entire career around starring in esteemed Netflix K-dramas. With his return cemented, we expect some great numbers for Four Hands, Two Sonatas.
Piano prodigy Kang Bi O’s steady rise to the top is threatened by the sudden arrival of Choi Jeong Yo, a gifted rival who had previously abandoned his talent. Joined by Hong Jae In, a viola major with exceptionally sensitive hearing and Bi O’s devoted friend, the three youths navigate the high-pressure world of classical music.
