A widow turns to her two adult daughters for help with an unusual problem: her neighbor is dead in her kitchen. The solution to dealing with the body would be more straightforward if the circumstances — a married man visiting a gorgeous single woman with a racy reputation in the middle of the night — weren’t sure to cause a scandal. Maa Behen is a really fun, well-acted look at the toll gossip takes on women and how this trio turns their infamy to their advantage. Additional dialogue options can be found in the film’s audio menu.
Bhooth Bangla (2026)
Languages: Hindi, English, French, & 9 more
Runtime: 164 Minutes
Director: Priyadarshan

Filmmaker Priyadarshan brings back much of the cast of his 2007 haunted house flick Bhool Bhulaiyaa (streaming on Netflix) for a new, unrelated movie about another Bhooth Bangla (“Haunted Mansion“). This time, Akshay Kumar — the lead in both films — plays a Londoner who inherits an estate in India. He celebrates by holding his sister’s wedding at the family manor, despite local folktales of a monster that steals brides on their wedding night. Turns out the stories weren’t tall tales after all. Additional dialogue options can be found in the film’s audio menu.

Raja Shivaji (2026)
Languages: Marathi & Hindi
Runtime: 194 Minutes
Director: Riteish Deshmukh
Cast: Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan

Actor Riteish Deshmukh gets behind the camera for the second time in the historical drama Raja Shivaji. Deshmukh also plays Shivaji, founder of the Maratha Empire, and the story focuses on his rise to power in the 17th Century. Raja Shivaji was filmed simultaneously in Marathi and Hindi, and Netflix defaults to the Marathi dialogue version. The Hindi version can be selected in the film’s audio menu. Most of Deshmukh’s co-stars in Raja Shivaji act primarily in Hindi films, including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, and Genelia Deshmukh, Riteish’s real-life wife.
