Most Anticipated New Releases on Netflix This Week
Megan Leavey (2017)
Coming to Netflix: Monday
Kicking off the week, we’ve got Megan Leavey, the 2017 biopic from Bleecker Street that stars Kata Mara along with Ramón Rodríguez and
Tom Felton.
When the movie debuted in theaters seven years ago, reviews were super strong. The plot revolves around the true story of a young Marine who develops an inseparable bond with a combat dog named Rex.
Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp (2024) Netflix Original
Coming to Netflix: Friday
Many regions of Netflix had the first live-action Woody the Woodpecker movie streaming as a Netflix Original title, while the US picked up under their first window deal with Universal 1440 but the second one is headed exclusively to Netflix this week globally.
Here’s what you can expect:
“After getting kicked out of the forest, Woody thinks he’s found a forever home at Camp Woo Hoo — until an inspector threatens to shut down the camp.”
Directed by Jonathan A. Rosenbaum, Woody is voiced by Eric Bauza with Mary-Louise Parker, Kevin Michael Richardson, Tom Kenny, Savannah La Rain and William Atticus Parker either set to lend their voices or star.
Baby Reindeer (Limited Series)
Coming to Netflix: Thursday
“From the creators of The End of the F***ing World” should be the biggest draw for this new comedy series coming from the United Kingdom this week that’s based on a stand-up comedy set.
The premise is as follows: “When a struggling comedian shows an act of kindness to a vulnerable woman, it sparks a suffocating obsession that threatens to wreck both their lives.”
