It’s no secret Marvel movies reign supreme at the moment and Ant-Man is no exception. The big and long-anticipated sequel to the 2015 movie is on the way. If you’re like me, you may want a refresher before heading into the new movie. Sadly, Netflix won’t be the platform of choice to watch the 2015 Ant-Man movie starring Paul Rudd.
Why isn’t Ant-Man on Netflix US?
As you may know by now, getting movies on Netflix isn’t cheap. Big budget movies come at a heavy price and is often beaten out by the competition. Sadly, Ant-Man didn’t release in the new Netflix and Disney deal window, it released a year before. That means it won’t be coming to Netflix in the United States.
Those with Netflix DVD subscriptions will, however, find the movie available to rent but as you can imagine, there may be a queue at the moment given the demand.
Ant-Man did appear on Captain America: Civil War but that movie only just left Netflix in the United States after streaming for a year and a half.
Where is Ant-Man on Netflix?
According to Unogs, just one region of Netflix is streaming the movie at the present time. That region is India and only just had the move drop earlier this week. This could indicate that more regions are scheduled to get the movie released soon to help promote the upcoming movie. With that said, we don’t envision this being any of the major Netflix English speaking regions.
Will the new movie come to Netflix?
For some regions, the answer will be yes although we’ll dive much deeper into this in an article tomorrow. The new movie seem to have gotten good reviews despite it completely ignoring all of the recent events of ‘Infinity War’.
