Every year, Netflix consistently delivers an incredible slate of new K-dramas for its global audience. With 2026 drawing to a close, our sights are set on the year ahead. We’ve selected the most highly anticipated K-dramas we can’t wait to stream on Netflix in 2027.
Here are our picks for the most anticipated K-dramas on Netflix in 2027:
All of Us Are Dead (Season 2)
The five-year wait for All of Us Are Dead season 2 is finally coming to an end. While such a long hiatus might hurt other shows, this zombie hit has the rare ability not just to keep its fanbase, but to expand it. It already stands as one of Netflix’s most popular K-dramas ever. Even if catching Squid Game is a tall order, it is perfectly positioned to secure the number two spot in Netflix’s all-time K-drama rankings.
All of Us Are Dead season 2 will be one of the first major K-dramas to land on Netflix in 2027, and will set the standard for the rest of the year.
The Plot
Netflix provided a new synopsis for the second season, as we see the return of Nam On Jo, who is once again thrust into the heart of another terrible outbreak in South Korea’s capital city, Seoul:
After surviving the catastrophic zombie outbreak at Hyosan High, Nam On Jo is now a university student in Seoul, struggling to move on from the trauma and the friends she lost. But when a new wave of infection suddenly hits Seoul, she finds herself trapped in another deadly fight for survival — this time without the people she once depended on.
The Dealer (Season 1)

While K-dramas are best known for their abundance of romantic dramas, South Korea has also nearly perfected the crime-thriller genre. Netflix has built an excellent catalog of crime thrillers, including Squid Game, Mousetrap, My Name, Bloodhounds, The Price of Confession, and many more. We expect The Dealer to become another stellar addition to that list, aided by a fantastic ensemble cast that includes Jung So-min. The actress has appeared in several licensed weekly K-dramas on Netflix but has yet to star in a Korean drama produced by the streaming service.
The Plot
Behind Oceanland’s glamorous exterior, a newly opened casino, its floors are open to locals, resulting in troublesome customers. When the casino’s revenues decline, the largest Texas Hold’em tournament is planned to turn the tide back in their favor. Meanwhile, Geon Hwa, one of the casino’s dealers, is hiding a superpower; she can detect lies after consuming alcohol! After being scammed and losing her house deposit, Geon Hwa decides to enter the tournament herself to recoup her losses.
Buy King (Season 1)

If you haven’t guessed already, we love crime thrillers, and Buy King will be competing with The Dealer for best new crime thriller on Netflix. Buy King lacks the supernatural element, but it has one distinct advantage over The Dealer: audiences absolutely go crazy for stories centered on South Korea’s ultra-rich families, the Chaebols. The series also stars the likes of Ju Ji Hoon, who is beloved for his performances in Netflix’s Kingdom and Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, and Lee Jun Ho, who had great hits on Netflix with Cashero and Typhoon Family. We’re incredibly eager to see the pair on screen together.
The Plot
Based on the highly confidential private family wars of Korean Chaebols, Buy King offers an exclusive glimpse into the engrossing details of the intricate family dynamics and succession wars of Korea’s wealthiest families and each member’s battle to sit at the throne of the multi-billion-dollar family business. This series will especially dive deep into how the generational differences of culture and values can affect not only the succession of power but also a family, company, and even society itself.
Grand Galaxy Hotel (Season 1)

Grand Galaxy Hotel is the successor to Sky Castle, the legendary drama that remains South Korea’s fourth highest-rated cable series of all time. In a massive shift, this sequel bypasses its predecessor’s traditional JTBC broadcast in favor of an exclusive, worldwide release on Netflix. Despite the “sequel” tag, expect a completely new lineup of stars. The cast is headlined by Lee Do Hyun, making his highly anticipated post-military comeback, and Lee Soo Hyuk, who returns to the screen to play a captivating grim reaper once again.
The Plot
Only open in the middle of the night to provide top-class service and console the souls of the dead, the Grand Galaxy Hotel has a new moody owner, Eun Ha, with a mysterious past, who arrives after the previous owner’s sudden disappearance. Upon his arrival, he meets the only human employee, Ko Sang Sun, who works hard as the hotel manager with a knack for befriending ghosts. Also, Baek Gi, a free-spirited grim reaper who cleans up the remnants of evil spirits, and Seok San, a mysterious woman with an eerie and dangerous aura.
Detective Park Mi-Ok (Season 1)

The third crime drama on this list, Detective Park Mi Ok, stands apart as the only show based on a true story, chronicling the life of South Korea’s trailblazing first female detective.
Bringing this historic figure to life is the phenomenally talented Kim Ji Won. Widely celebrated as one of the most dynamic and versatile actresses working in South Korea today, she has an ability to completely disappear into complex, commanding roles. Fresh off a powerhouse performance in the record-breaking Queen of Tears and starring in the upcoming Doctor X remake, she continues to prove her immense acting pedigree. With her extraordinary emotional range, her portrayal of Park Mi Ok isn’t just highly anticipated; it has “award-sweeping” written all over it.

Men of the Harem (Season 1)

Bae Suzy continues to be a darling for Netflix, and her next project on the streaming service could be her biggest yet. So far, she has acted in Doona and Genie, Make a Wish for Netflix, but her third original to date will see her take on the role of Empress Latil, and will be joined by Shin Seung Ho, Dex, Kim Dan, Yoo Jung Hoo and Lee See Hyuk, who will play the roles of her male concubines. The reverse-harem romance, paired with an excellent ensemble cast, is sure to have hearts racing in 2027.
The Plot
Scorned by her lover and thrown into power after the mysterious assassination of her father, Latil must marry to secure her sovereignty of Tarium. Instead of choosing one man to become her Royal Consort, she chooses five young men from all walks of life to join her Harem. Will Latil ever solve her father’s murder, and can she keep the peace in her Harem?
