Jo Jung Suk, Park Hae Soo, and Claudia Kim have been cast in Netflix’s upcoming crime-comedy K-drama Paperman (WT). Filming begins in August 2026, and we’re anticipating a late 2027 or early 2028 release. Here’s everything we know about Paperman (WT) on Netflix. 

Paperman (WT) is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original drama series directed by Lee Il Hyung, who previously wrote and directed K-dramas such as Karma and Remember.


What is the plot of Paperman (WT)?

Netflix has released an official synopsis for Paperman (WT):

“Cha Myung-jo, a man who works at a company that makes imitation character stickers. Though he’s technically the head of his household, at home he’s constantly overshadowed by his highly competent wife, who’s a judge. However, when Myung-jo comes to create a counterfeit bill so flawless it can’t be distinguished from the real thing, he steps into an unexpected world he never imagined.”

Jo Jung Suk, Park Hae Soo, and Claudia Kim have been confirmed as the three leads of Paperman (WT).

Jo Jung Suk will play Cha Myung Jo. He has starred in several popular Netflix Originals, including lead roles in Captivating the King and Hospital Playlist seasons 1 and 2, as well as guest roles in Weak Hero Class 2, Resident Playbook, and When the Stars Gossip. Park Hae Soo will play Oh Seung Eop. The actor has starred in many Netflix K-dramas, which include Squid Game, The Price of Confession, Money Heist: Korea, Narco-Saints, Persona, Prison Playbook, and Racket Boys. He also starred in the Netflix films Good News, The Great Flood, and Yaksha: Ruthless Operations.

The character of Oh Seung Eop has been described as:

Production has been confirmed on Paperman. The series is still currently in pre-production for June and July, and filming will officially begin in August 2027 and is scheduled to run until January 2027.


When will Paperman (WT) be released on Netflix?

With filming due to end in January 2027, we can either expect a late 2027 or early 2028 release. We’ll know more in Q1 of 2027, when Netflix releases its Korean slate for 2027.
