‘One Piece’ Season 3 Casts 4 Key Alabasta Roles: Pell, Koza, Toto, and Chaka Revealed

Casting news for One Piece season 3 has been incredibly slow, when compared to season 2, where it felt like we were getting casting news nearly every month. Finally, we have new cast members revealed for the characters of Pell, Koza, Toto, and Chaka.

Over the weekend, four new cast members were announced for One Piece season 3. This takes the total number of new cast members up to 9 from season 2, and plenty more are yet to be unveiled. 

Jamie Ward cast as Pell

Jamie Ward will play the role of Pell, hailed as the strongest fighter in Alabasta, one of the head guards of the kingdom, and the user of the Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Falcon.

Audiences may be most familiar with Ward for his roles as Father Gomez in His Dark Materials, Nabil in Tyrant, and Lorenzo Calogero in Invisible Boys. The actor is also due to star in two further Netflix projects, such as the Australian drama Queenstown and the second season of The Gentlemen.

Emilio Sakraya cast as Koza

Emilio Sakraya will play the role of Koza, Princess Vivi’s childhood friend and the leader of the Alabasta Rebellion. 

The actor will be best known to Netflix subscribers for his roles as JC in Warrior Nun, as Kiano in Tribes of Europa, and as Octavio Bergmann in the film Sixty Minutes. He has also starred in Peacock’s historical drama Those About to Die as Xenon.

Omid Abtahi cast as Toto

Omid Abtahi will play the role of Toto, the father of Koza, and a resident of the town of Yuba.

Audiences will be familiar with Abtahi’s work in series such as The Boys, Tracker, Graveyard, City on Fire, The Mandalorian, Fear the Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, and American Gods.

Abtahi’s has only lent his voice talent to several animated projects and video games, such as:

• Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight
• Diablo 4
• Fast & Furious Spy Racers
• World of Warcraft

Nabeel Khan as Chaka

Nabell Khan will play the role of Chaka, the serving acting captain of the royal guard of Alabasta, and the user of the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Jackal.

The actor has predominantly worked as a stunt performer and stunt coordinator in films, but has also starred in roles such as Tirumal Appa in Chander Pahar, Hanyani in The Nowhere Man, and minor roles in Rogue and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
