Trollhunters will be back in 2018 for its third and final season as Netflix will move onto making other Dreamworks animated shows. When will season 3 of Trollhunters be on Netflix? We have the answer. Plus despite season 3 being the conclusion of the series will come to an end but the universe will not. Dreamworks is creating two spin-off series for the universe as well as a comic book series too.

The Guillermo del Toro Dreamworks is among the countless kids’ TV shows that the animator has created for Netflix but is often regarded as one of the best. Employing an all-star cast, this superbly animated series takes you into the world of trolls in the small town of Arcadia.

In case you didn’t know already, the series has already been renewed for a third season. Not only that, two spin-off series is in the works too with one scheduled to arrive next year also. You’ll also be able to get more Trollhunters Universe in the form of a comic book series but little is known about that other than its existence.

When will season 3 of Trollhunters be on Netflix?

Given we already know it’s been given a 2018 release date we think it’ll arrive in the same month as it has for the past 2 years. Season 1 landed on Netflix on December 23rd, 2016 and season 2 arrived on December 15th, 2017. That means we can accurately predict that season 3 of Trollhunters will be streaming on Netflix in December 2018.

Expected release date: December 2018

We’ll likely get official confirmation of when season 3 will be on Netflix in early fall 2018.

Will Anton Yelchin be back for season 3?

Sadly not. As you may know, Anton sadly passed just shortly after the first season of the show released but did manage to record enough lines for season 2 but not enough for the third season. It’s yet to be announced who will be taking his place.
