Bae Suzy will return to Netflix for the exciting new weekly K-drama and adaptation of the web novel Men of the Harem. The series, coming to Netflix sometime in 2027, will star Bae Suzy as Lalit, a scorned woman thrust into power after her father’s assassination, who selects 5 men to become her Royal Consorts. Men of the Harem is an upcoming South Korean historical fantasy and romance drama directed by Lee Eung Bok (Sweet Home) and adapted from the web novel series by author Alpha Tart for television by Hwang Jin Young (My Dearest). Studio Dragon, with which Netflix has had an illustrious relationship for several years, is producing the K-drama.
When will Men of the Harem be released on Netflix?
An official release date has yet to be announced for Men of the Harem, but the series is expected to launch sometime in 2027, airing on the South Korean cable network tVN before landing on Netflix the same day.
There will be 16 episodes in total, with 2 released each Saturday and Sunday.
Runtimes will be approximately 60 minutes.

Who are the cast members of Men of the Harem?
The five leads of the film are Bae Suzy, Lee Soo Hyuk, Yoo Jung Hoo, Shin Seung Ho, and Kim Dan.

Bae Suzy plays Latil. The actress is best known to subscribers for starring in Netflix dramas Genie, Make a Wish, Doona, Vagabond, and Start-Up. She has also led K-dramas such as Anna and While You Were Sleeping.
Lee Soo Hyuk recently starred in a cameo role in Netflix’s Boyfriend on Demand, but his last lead role in a Netflix project was in the 2022 K-drama, Tomorrow. His schedule is busy, as he will be starring in lead roles in upcoming Netflix projects such as Grand Galaxy Hotel and The Dealer. The actor has also led K-dramas such as S Line and Queen Woo.
Yoo Jung Hoo has yet to star in a Netflix series, but has played lead roles in K-dramas such as Bitch X Rich, New Love Playlist and My Girlfriend is the Man.
Shin Seung Ho has starred in a handful of Netflix K-dramas, all in supporting or guest roles, including DP, The Good Bad Mother, Alchemy of Souls, Weak Hero Class, and Love Alarm. He has, however, played lead roles in dramas such as Moment at Eighteen and A-Teen.
Kim Dan is a relatively new actor on the scene who made his debut in 2025 in a guest role in Resident Playbook, and later starred in a supporting role in The Winning Try.

What is the production status of Men of the Harem?
Filming for Men of the Harem has been underway since Mid-May 2026. Multiple locations have been used for filming, including Kazakhstan from May 14, 2026 to June 26, 2026.
