Many of Netflix’s most anticipated mobile games announced in 2023 and 2024 are no longer happening. Among the titles scrapped from the Netflix Games platform is Battle Vision Network, the highly anticipated new game from Capybara Games, the studio behind Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked, Superbrothers, and Might & Magic.

We’ve now learned that the game will no longer be part of the Netflix slate, and its Steam release has been delayed into 2026. Confirmed on Discord by one of the admins, they teased the upcoming release again in June of this year, saying, “Play in online PvP Puzzle-Battler matches, fusing cozy color-matching gameplay with deep turn-based tactics! Customize, rank up, and win the season for all the glory! Let’s battle in 2026 instead of 2025, on PC!”
The update to the website scrubbed all former mentions of Netflix, including the logo that sat alongside the Steam link.
Why has it been pulled from the Netflix games lineup? Well, it comes as part of a fundamental shift in strategy since Netflix replaced its head of gaming. Since that move, we’ve seen dozens of games kicked off the service and many more in development scrapped entirely or had their Netflix releases pulled. As we’ve been covering throughout the year, games like Chicken Run: Eggstraction, Harmonium, Crashlands 2, Don’t Starve Together, and Tales of the Shire will no longer have Netflix Games releases, among a myriad of others.
Netflix hasn’t abandoned mobile gaming entirely; it has a slate of upcoming kids games all scheduled to drop through Autumn 2025, and WWE 2K is still expected soon. That’s in addition to the recently confirmed new Football Manager 2026 entry and multiple other games currently in testing, such as Spirit Crossing.
