Stranger Things has built a reputation not just on monsters and mystery, but on its near-mythic command of music. The show’s soundtrack is a time capsule, packed with needle-drops that have escaped the confines of the series and stormed back onto global charts. Season 5 has only offered four episodes so far, yet it already comes with a stacked playlist.
The big question is whether this season will deliver another chart-shaking moment. Season 4 gave the world a fresh obsession with Kate Bush’s 1985 single “Running Up That Hill,” which became a lifeline for Max and climbed to number one in the UK while cracking the US top five.
