April is set to be an action-packed month for new titles on Netflix. One such anime we’ve been waiting long for is Ingress the Animation. After a series of delays, we can finally confirm that the upcoming Original anime will be arriving in April. Here’s everything we know so far on Ingress the Animation.
Ingress the Animation is an upcoming Netflix original anime based on the popular Japanese AR game of the same name. The series was popularised by the AR game that initially released in 2013, by November 2018 the game had credited 20 million downloads worldwide. The software behind the game paved the way for the creation of Pokemon Go.
What is the plot of Ingress the Animation?
The story follows special police investigator Makoto, who has the power to read the memories of objects he touches. While investigating a laboratory explosion that was researching an unknown substance called “XM”, he touches the ring of a woman who was the sole survivor of the explosion and sees a horrifying vision that embroils him in a massive conspiracy.
Who is in the cast of Ingress the Animation?
The English dub hasn’t been confirmed at the time of writing. Considering all the previous Originals have English dubs, we expect Ingree to follow suit.

What studio has animated Ingress the Animation?
Ingress the Animation has been animated by Crafter. The series has been animated in a CGI format which many fans of anime still aren’t in favor of. Regardless of opinion on CGI, the animation looks crisp and clear with some beautiful color work done by the studio.
The studio has worked on previous titles such as Inuyashiki Last Hero and Phantom of the Kill. Crafter is currently working on an anime movie titled Ashita Sekai ga Owaru Toshitemo.

Ingress the Animation Episode Count
The very first season of Ingress debuted in Japan with 11 episodes, which aired week to week. Subscribers will have full access to all 11 episodes upon the Netflix release date.

Ingress the Animation Netflix Release Date
After a long delay, Ingress the Animation will be coming to Netflix on April 30th, 2019.
