One of the most popular harem-anime of 2019, The The Quintessential Quintuplets, has been in high demand. Sadly, it’s not available to stream on Netflix. Here’s why.
The Quintessential Quintuplets is a Japanese anime series based on the manga of the same name by author Negi Haruba. Serialization of the manga began in August 2017 and it wasn’t long before the series fan following exploded. Within two years of its debut, an anime adaptation by Tezuka Productions arrived in January 2019.
Gifted high school student Futaro Uesugi excels at all academical challenges, but his family is in huge debt. When the Nakano family transfers to Futaro’s high school, an opportunity to make money presents itself. The five beautiful Nakano Quintuplets suck at studying, and their grades are abysmal. Futaro has a tough challenge ahead of him when he is hired to be their tutor.
Why isn’t season 1 of The Quintessential Quintuplets on Netflix US?
In North America, the license for The Quintessential Quintuplets is held by Crunchyroll and FUNimation.
This doesn’t come as a surprise due to the fact that Crunchyroll and FUNimation are the main streaming services for anime in the US.
For the English Dub, you will need a subscription to FUNimation. Fans who prefer Sub over Dub will need a subscription to Crunchyroll.
Will The Quintessential Quintuplets ever come to Netflix?
Thanks to the way licensing works you can never say never to this question. While it isn’t impossible it more improbable instead.
FUNimation and Crunchyroll have a fierce hold on anime in the US and that isn’t going to change anytime soon.

Are other regions streaming The Quintessential Quintuplets on Netflix?
The only region that is able to stream The Quintessential Quintuplets on Netflix is Japan.
In the UK you need a subscription to Crunchyroll or FUNimation.
Canada is the same as the US and UK. A Crunchyroll or FUNimation subscription is needed.
FUNimation isn’t available to Australian anime fans. But a subscription to Crunchyroll will allow fans to watch The Quintessential Quintuplets.
