Cinemax hasn’t had many big hits when it comes to series in the past few years leaving the best titles to its brother on HBO. Outcast has been an exception with the show having millions of fans but can you find seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix and will it be arriving soon if not? Let’s take a look.

The series comes from the creator of The Walking Dead series who is behind this horror/sci-fi/thriller series where a young man looks for answers when he discovers he possesses some supernatural abilities. The series has been nominated for multiple awards and stars Patrick Fugit, Philip Glenister and Wrenn Schmidt.

Why isn’t Outcast on Netflix in the United States?

Outlast isn’t and won’t ever likely be on Netflix in the United States. That’s because no streaming agreement has been made for the show instead, Cinemax has chosen to keep the show exclusive to its own platform. As you may know, Cinemax is a subsidiary of HBO who also does the same thing with its shows such as Game of Thrones and Insecure.

Where the series is streaming on Netflix elsewhere

Some Netflix regions abroad is carrying the show exclusively and already has the second season available.

The regions currently streaming seasons 1 and 2 of Outlast are Germany, Japan and Spain.

How you can stream Outcast season 1 & 2

In the United States, there are numerous ways you can watch Cinemax titles including other subscription services like Hulu and Amazon. Through a dedicated channel (separate subscription required) you can stream all the past and present episodes of the show.

We’ve long argued for Netflix to do the same and offer channel add-ons but that’s yet to come to fruition.
