As subscribers look forward to the holiday season of 2019, we’re looking even further ahead to 2020. Jingle Jangle is one such film you’ll be looking forward to on Netflix in 2020. The Christmas musical still has a long way to go before release but here’s everything we know so far.

Jingle Jangle is an upcoming Netflix Original Christmas musical film, written and directed by David E. Talbert. Jingle Jangle is the second Netflix Original directed by David E. Talbert, having previously directed El Camino Christmas. The film is also being produced by popular artist John Legend.


When is the Netflix release date for Jingle Jangle?

Subscribers that were looking forward to the release of Jingle Jangle in 2019 will be sad to learn it won’t be arriving this year.

It has already been confirmed by Netflix that Jingle Jangle will arrive sometime in 2020.

Considering that Jingle Jangle is a Christmas film, we aren’t expecting to see it debut on Netflix until November 2020.


What is the plot of Jingle Jangle?

The synopsis for Jingle Jangle has been provided by Netflix:

A holiday tale set in the snow-covered town of Cobbleton. We follow eccentric toymaker Jeronicus Jangle (Forest Whitaker), whose fanciful inventions burst with whimsy and wonder. But when a betrayal by a former protégé leaves Jeronicus withdrawn and down on his luck, it’s up to his bright and adventurous granddaughter, Journey, and a singularly magical invention to save the day.

As of November 3rd, 2019, Jingle Jangle is in post-production.

Filming for Jingle Jangle took place from the 12th of July and concluded at the start of November.

The only known location used for filming was Elm Hill, Norwich. Elm Hill is a very popular location for filming, its old and rustic aesthetic is perfect for filming period pieces.

It’s too early to know what the run time of Jingle Jangle is. We’ll learn more towards Summer and Fall 2020.

At the time of writing, there’s no official parental rating for Jingle Jangle. As a Christmas movie, we’re expecting a PG rating.

It’s going to be a long time until we can expect to see a trailer for Jingle Jangle. As we aren’t expecting the film until Netflix’s 2020 Christmas line up, we’d expect to see a trailer drop around September or October 2020.
