What is Nasty Cherry?

Nasty Cherry is an all-girl pop-rock band that is signed to the record label Vroom Vroom.

The band was signed by Charlie XCX and caused quite a stir when the announcement was first made. Thanks to a bare bottom post on Instagram and with the declaration of being “the best band of 2019” Nasty Cherry has made their intentions to blast through the glass ceiling.

The band’s debut single “Win” was released on March 11th, 2019. At the time of writing Nasty Cherry has four released singles and has just under 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. With the release of the original series, the exposure for Nasty Cherry will be huge.

Who are the Band Members?

Nasty Cherry consists of four bandmembers; Chloe Chaidez, Gabbriette Bechtel, Deborah Know-Hewson and Georgia Somary.

Gabbritte Bechtel

The lead singer and “head bitch” of the band is Gabbritte. Before joining Nasty Cherry, Gabbritte worked as a model and in photography. An explosion of self-expression Gabby is the one to keep an eye on for the future.

Deborah Knox-Hewson

Deborah Know-Hewson is the drummer of the band and a fantastic talent. Hewson studied music in Brighton at the British & Irish Modern Music Institute and went on to perform at the 2012 British Olympics opening ceremony as a pandemonium drummer and drum marshal during the Parade of Athletics. Outside of Nasty Cherry, Hewson is the drummer of Honeyblood and has also toured with the band James.

Chloe Chaidez

Out of the four band members Chloe Chaidez is the most established artist. As the founding member and vocalist of Alt-Rock band Kitten, Chloe has been performing for over 10 years. Her band Kitten was formed in Los Angeles in 2009 but is currently based in New York City, New York. Kitten recently released their new EP “Goodbye Honeymoon Phase” and can be found on Spotify and iTunes. For Nasty Cherry, Chloe is the guitarist.

What to expect from I’m With the Band: Nasty Cherry

The following synopsis for I’m With the Band: Nasty Cherry has been provided by Netflix:

In an era where there is no roadmap to success in the music industry, global pop star Charli XCX handpicked four women to form the alt-pop band, Nasty Cherry. The latest signing to Charli XCX’s label, Nasty Cherry is an unconventional mix of seasoned musicians and first-timers. This six-episode series documents their origin story – from moving in together and their first practice to their first performance and debut single release and everything in between.

An intimate look into what it takes to make your dreams come true, I’m With the Band: Nasty Cherry follows the women as they navigate a new age of music, making up their own rules as they go and blowing up Instagram feeds in the process. With Charli’s support and guidance, Nasty Cherry has the potential to really catch fire…or completely implode if they can’t keep their egos and insecurities in check, and in this unfiltered and intimate series, viewers find out what it takes to make – or break – this badass band.

How many episodes are there?

The first season of I’m With the Band: Nasty Cherry will consist of six episodes.

Episode Run Times

At the time of writing the episode run times haven’t been revealed.

When is the Netflix release date for I’m With the Band: Nasty Cherry?

I’m With the Band: Nasty Cherry will be available to stream on Netflix on November 15th, 2019.

Will it stream globally?

Certainly. The reality series will be available to stream in all Netflix regions.

Can we expect to see more of Nasty Cherry on Netflix?

This entirely depends on the success of the series, but ultimately on the band’s success.

If the series takes off and Nasty Cherry’s reputation skyrockets we could expect to see more of the all-girl pop-rock band. Major talents like Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake have featured in Originals while on tour, potentially we may see a Nasty Cherry special in the future…
