Cannon Busters is an upcoming Netflix Original anime series based on the comic of the same name by creator LeSean Thomas.

First published in 2005, it has only published a few issues. In 2014, the co-creator of the series, LeSean Thomas, started a crowdfunding campaign for the series to be adapted into an animated series. The pilot was released to those who backed the project, and in August 2017, Netflix made the announcement that the series would be adapted into a twelve-episode season.

What is the plot of Cannon Busters?

Follow the adventures and exploits of S.A.M, a high-end, royal-class friendship droid who’s joined by a quirky, discarded maintenance robot and a brash, deadly fugitive. Together, the unlikely trio embarks on an unforgettable journey in a fantastic and dangerous world in search of S.A.M’s best friend, the heir to a powerful kingdom under siege. – Synopsis wrote by creator LeSean Thomas.
