Larva Island will be returning on Netflix on March 1st, 2019 with a bunch of brand new episodes.
The kids series which became a Netflix Original for the release of Larva Island season 1 back in October 2018 on the 19th and will be returning for another batch of episodes.
It’s expected that season 2 will consist of another 13 short episodes which will take us up to 26 episodes total. Thanks to Wikipedia, we know the names of the first two episodes which are “Party” and “Waterfall”.
If you’re new to the show, it’s a continuation of Larva, a series about two larvae (slug-like creatures) who interact with each other and their surroundings. The original series saw them in the sewers, the second season saw them get promoted to home and season 3 took the two characters to New York.
The series comes from the South Korean animation studio known as TUBA Entertainment. The studio’s content can mostly be found on Youtube. Their other projects outside of Larva Island include Dinocore, Cafe Wingcle, Rotary, and Oscar’s Oasis.
It wasn’t until season 4 which Netflix picked up exclusively that the two are now living on an Island.
The show’s second season release date was revealed on the show’s page on Netflix itself and will be part of an already busy March Netflix Original schedule.
If you’re wondering whether this series is suitable for kids, Emily Ashby at Common Sense Media rated the series poorly with the series featuring lots of violence.

3 wanted to watch this show called "Larva Island" on Netflix and it's one of the weirdest cartoons I have ever seen. Mostly farts and screaming. pic.twitter.com/nXLJnZ6fqS
