Welcome to your weekly roundup of all the new releases on Netflix for April 12th, 2019 for Netflix in the United States. Below, we’ll take a look at the full list of the 28 new titles that arrived on Netflix this week plus take a look at what broke into the What’s on Netflix popularity index over the past 7 days.
Only two releases from this week have managed to break into the popularity index this week. Those being Movie 43 which sits at 25 at the time of publishing and Between Worlds at number 4.
The statistics for this week are that roughly 42% of the new titles added this week were Netflix Originals. 16 of the 28 new titles were English which represents 57% of the total new additions this week. Compared to other regions, the US beat Canada which only got 27 new titles added this week. Netflix UK got 32 new additions this week and Netflix Australia got 35.

3. New Girl (Season 7)
New Girl is likely going to be the final series from Fox to ever make its way onto Netflix in the United States. The seventh season of the comedy sitcom starring Zooey Deschanel represents the farewell season which says goodbye to Jess and her flatmates and thankfully, we finally get the proposal we’ve been waiting for.
2. You Vs. Wild (Season 1) Netflix Original
Netflix officially relaunched its interactive titles back in December with Bandersnatch but this adventure is specifically for the kids. It sees you tag along with survivalist Bear Grylls as you look to survive by helping make choices in the wilderness.
1. Black Summer (Season 1) Netflix Original
Although Black Summer is set before Z Nation, it’s been quite a departure from what most were expecting. The zombie series that’s set over 8 relatively short episodes sees the outbreak in full force as a mother is separated from her daughter.
