It’s time to get on that boat to Valhalla as Norsemen returns soon on Netflix for its the second season on the 26th of September. Here’s everything we know about the new show including how many episodes there’ll be, who’s starring and most importantly when it’ll be available on Netflix.

Filmed for both Norwegian and English audiences Norsemen is a hilarious look on the Viking way life, comparable to that of a mix between the tv shows Vikings and Monty Python this show will leave you in stitches.

How many episodes are there and will it be in English?

Like season one the second season will have 6 episodes with each episode roughly 30 Minutes, so plenty of time to be filled with hilarity! Now, originally we were led to believe the second season was only filmed in Norwegian and English Subtitles would be available but we can confirm that Season 2 was also filmed in English! Just like In the very first season, they shot all their scenes in both Norwegian and English, once one scene was finished they would simply swap from one language to the other.

Season 2 was actually filmed before the first season was released on Netflix (Season 2 was filmed early 2017 and Norsemen released on Netflix August 2017), now on Netflix but as a very popular show on the streaming service, we will definitely see further seasons filmed in both Languages!

The Trailer

If you haven’t seen Norsemen yet then watch the trailer below! There currently isn’t an English trailer for Season 2 as the series in its second run was only filmed in Norwegian.

Will there be a Season Three?

Definitely, after Netflix bought the show co-creator of the show Jon Iver Helgaker had this to say when speaking to Dagbladet.

“Netflix has bought the series so it’s now a Netflix Original… Now, there are potentially 150 million viewers who can watch the series. We are now sitting and writing six new episodes that will be Vikingane / Norsemen 3. If everything goes according to plan, production will start in the spring with its TV premiere set for Autumn 2019.”
