The Letdown – Australian Broadcasting Company & Netflix

The Letdown has returned to ABC in Australia for its second season after a two-year wait and will soon be joining Netflix around the world. Here’s what you need to know about season 2 of The Letdown.

Brand new to the show? Let’s bring you up to date on what the show is all about. If you have seen Workin Moms on Netflix (also getting its second season added in July, FYI) the shows actually share quite a bit in common.

The show is about being a mother and the challenges that come with it especially with a family that doesn’t help matters.

Netflix picked up the rights to distribute the show internationally in early 2018 and carrying it under its Netflix Original banner. Sadly, it went relatively unnoticed in most regions but hopefully with season 2, its popularity expands a little. The show is produced by the Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC) and is among a few shows Netflix works with the network on with the other notable title being Glitch.

What will happen in season 2 of The Letdown

Season 2 is set to fast forward time ever so slightly on season 1. It’ll see Audrey with her daughter who has now hit one year and is officially now a toddler. It’ll also see Audrey deal with the fact her marriage is under strain now that Jeremy has been working away.

Once again the new season consists of six episodes which are named the following:

  • One
  • The Dilemma
  • He’s a Girl
  • Heavy Heart
  • Rat Park
  • Shameless

When is season 2 of The Letdown coming to Netflix?

Netflix hasn’t managed to pick up weekly episodes as it does with some shows but is showing the second season much faster than last year.

Season 2 episode 6 is due to release in Australia on July 3rd, 2019 and then is scheduled for Netflix release on July 31st, 2019 in the majority of regions around the world. As of the time of publishing, however, we were only able to verify a July 2019 release date for Netflix US.

Netflix Australia may take a little longer to get the show added.
