Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj is set to return for its fifth season in November 2019. Here’s what we know about the future of the series and a look back at the previous season.

Netflix first started releasing Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj back in October 2018 and has since become one of Netflix’s best talk shows. Netflix has released five volumes making it technically the longest-running talk show on Netflix in terms of the number of seasons although Chelsea wins in terms of the number of episodes.

As to how successful the show has been is arguable given we don’t have any official viewing figures from Netflix. Looking at Google trends, you can clearly see the show is performing relatively consistent for the streamer.

In volume 4 of the show, which once again ran for six weeks, we saw Hasan tackle a series of new episodes tackling issues like the policing system, cruise liners, transportation, video games, and Canada. One of the defining episodes of the season, at least in our opinion, was the episode on Fentanyl.

When will season 5 of Patriot Act be on Netflix?

The good news is that Netflix has already greenlit a fifth volume.

Once again, we’re expecting six brand new episodes to air throughout November and into December 2019.

We don’t have any firm dates as of yet but there are four Sundays in the month which will likely remain its release date schedule.

We’ll know slightly closer to the time as general release tickets go up for free several weeks before the taping of the first show.

Some have pointed to Hasan Minhaj’s show and Netflix’s recent weekly pickup of The Great British Baking Show as a switch for Netflix in terms of how they release content. The truth is they’ve been doing weekly releases for reality and talk shows for over 3 years now.
