When is Greenleaf Season 3 on Netflix?
Greenleaf is one of Netflix’s most popular dramas and with the second season now available across most Netflix regions and season 3 now on TV, we’re looking forward to when season 3 of Greenleaf will be streaming on Netflix. Thankfully, most regions shouldn’t have too long to wait.
Oprah Winfrey is behind the show which first airs on her TV network OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) before arriving on Netflix shortly thereafter. In many Netflix regions around the world, such as the UK and Australia, the series is actually carried as a Netflix Original but sadly doesn’t get weekly episode drops like other titles of a similar nature.
The drama series follows the Greenleaf family, the owners of a megachurch and their lies, secrets, and deceptions that they have to keep at bay to protect their image.
Season 1 of Greenleaf came to Netflix in early March 2017 and season 2 landed on Netflix on November 1st, 2017 in every Netflix region. The series has already been renewed for a third season which is likely to now stick to its new time format.
Season 3 Moved To Fall In 2018
One important factor to consider for the Netflix release is the fact the series has moved to a fall release schedule this year. Season 2 began airing in March 2017 whereas season 3 began on August 28th, 2018.
Netflix US Release Date
It roughly takes two months after the show wraps up on the OWN before it drops onto Netflix. On current projects that’d mean that the show is due to wrap in December so should arrive on Netflix in the United States in the first couple months of 2019.
Netflix Original Regions Release Date
Much like the Netflix US release date, the series always drops a couple of months once the series has finished on OWN. So once again, you can expect an early 2019 release date of Greenleaf.
When we get official confirmation of when the show will wrap plus when it comes to Netflix, we’ll update this article accordingly.
