Greenleaf, one of Netflix’s most popular dramas, is eagerly anticipated by fans, with the second season now available in most Netflix regions and season 3 airing on TV. We’re keenly awaiting the streaming of Greenleaf’s third season on Netflix. Thankfully, most regions shouldn’t have to wait too long.
Oprah Winfrey is behind the show, which initially airs on her TV network, OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network), before arriving on Netflix shortly after. In many Netflix regions worldwide, such as the UK and Australia, the series is branded as a Netflix Original, but unfortunately, it doesn’t receive weekly episode updates like some other similar titles.
The drama series follows the Greenleaf family, who own a megachurch, and chronicles the lies, secrets, and deceptions they must maintain to protect their image.
Season 1 of Greenleaf arrived on Netflix in early March 2017, and season 2 landed on the platform on November 1st, 2017, available in every Netflix region. The series has already been renewed for a third season, which is likely to adhere to its new time format.
Season 3 Moved To Fall 2018
An important factor to consider for the Netflix release is that the series has transitioned to a fall release schedule this year. Season 2 began airing in March 2017, while Season 3 commenced on August 28th, 2018.
Netflix US Release Date
Update: Netflix has announced (as predicted) that season 3 will be available on the platform starting December 21st, 2018.
It typically takes about two months after the show concludes on OWN for it to be released on Netflix. Based on current projections, the show is expected to end in December, meaning it should arrive on Netflix in the United States within the first couple of months of 2019.
Netflix Original Regions Release Date
Regions such as Australia and the United Kingdom started streaming season 3 as of November 22nd, 2018.
Once we receive official confirmation of when the show will conclude, plus when it arrives on Netflix, we will update this article accordingly.
