This fall sees the return of CW’s Supergirl for her 4th season. With it being the time of year that the CW shows return to Network TV it’s always an exciting time to be a Superhero fan. Supergirl originally debuted on the Television Network CBS and after the first season, the show moved over to the CW. CBS is the owner of CW, therefore, the transfer of the show to a separate network was easy to carry out.
Supergirl is the fourth DC Comics show the CW acquired after Arrow, The Flash and DC Legends of Tomorrow.
What to expect in Season 4 of Supergirl

We said goodbye to many characters in season 3 closing story threads that were built up over the course of the 3 seasons. Mon-El returned to the future and won’t be returning to Supergirl.
J’onn stepped down as the leader of the DEO and was replaced by Alex. After Kara’s battle resulting in Reign’s death, it is revealed the ‘Black Rock’ used in the fight is now being tested by Lena. At the end of season 3, it was revealed a doppelganger of Kara is now living in a military base in Siberia.
Over the course of the season, the show’s story will take inspiration from the Superman Arc ‘Red Sun’.
Supergirl Season 4 Netflix US Release Date
Supergirl is part of The CW’s contract that allows Netflix to stream the show soon after the season has concluded. It used to be the case that you’d have to wait months after the finale aired before it dropped but nowadays, you only have to wait up to 2 or 3 weeks.
Season 3 of Supergirl concluded on June 18th, 2018 and was available to stream on Netflix from the end of June.
Season 4 will conclude on the 19th of May! Instead of the usual 2 to 3-week wait, you’ll only have to wait 8 days as Supergirl Season 4 arrives on Monday the 27th of May!
Other Regions Netflix Release Dates
There aren’t many regions that are streaming Supergirl outside of the US.
For those in the United Kingdom, the television network Sky has the exclusive rights to stream the DCU content. You’ll only find the new season streaming on Now TV and Sky Go.
