Among the biggest titles within the HBO library is The Sopranos. The long running crime drama is one of those shows which will still be talked about decades into the future. It cemented HBO as one of the best content creators in the world.
As we just mentioned HBO is the producer of this fantastic cime series that stars James Gandolfini, Lorraine Bracco and Edie Falco. Often drawn to being very similar to The Godfather it’s all about the Italian American mob and their operations.
It’s got so many rewards it’d take us all day to list them but probably one of the most important is that it was named the best-written television show in history by the Writer’s Guild of America. It’s frequently quoted in pop culture and if we haven’t sold it to you by now, then you’re probably never going to want to watch it.
It ran for 6 seasons and had a total of 86 episodes but are any of them streaming on Netflix in 2016? Sadly not, due to disuptes between HBO and Netflix we don’t expect this along with any other HBO show streaming on Netflix in the coming year. Even other regions that have Netflix isn’t streaming the hit HBO show.
All’s not lost for Netflixers though as those with a subscription to Netflix DVD rental are able to not only get the DVD boxset but the recently released bluray release too. Also if you’re an Amazon Prime member or HBO Go/Now member you’ll also find some to all of The Sopranos streaming there.
In the coming weeks what we’ll do is compile a list of titles that you may like if you’re a fan of The Sopranos but don’t necessarily want to fork out for another streaming service.
