Christmas Movies Coming to Netflix 2017

December 2017 will be bringing with it plenty of festive treats including some brand new Christmas movies that Netflix will be producing as well as some greats from the past.

Note: This article will cover the Christmas movies coming to Netflix UK and Netflix US.

There’s even more to look forward to next month and we’ve got the full list of what’s coming to Netflix in December. But without further ado, here’s the new Christmas movies coming to Netflix next month.


A Christmas Prince

Netflix Original Worldwide
Release Date: November 17th, 2017

By the time you’re reading this, A Christmas Prince has already been on Netflix for over a week. Because it flew under most people’s radar thanks to the other big Netflix Original that came out that week, we thought we’d give it another chance to be in the spotlight here. Starring Rose McIver (iZombie) who plays a journalist who’s sent abroad to cover a prince who’s poised to become a king which leads to an unexpected romance.


A StoryBots Christmas (2017)

Netflix Original – Worldwide
Release Date: December 1st 

Featuring Beep, Bo, Bang, Bing and Boop the robots are returning for a holiday special. The bots head to the North Pole to ask for Santas help in making better presents for the holiday season.


DreamWorks Home: For the Holidays

Netflix Original Worldwide
Release Date: December 1st

Netflix has been helping produce the series Home for a couple of years now since its main theatrical release and this year will be releasing a holiday special. Entitled Home of the Holidays, it’ll see the Boovs celebrate their first Christmas together and will have an appearance from Kelly Clarkson.


Trolls Holiday Special

Netflix Original Worldwide
Release Date: December 6th

The second Dreamworks special will come from the Trolls universe. Both Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake will be reprising their now well-known rolls as Poppy and Branch. The story will take us on an adventure as the Trolls realises they have no holidays planned in their calendar and must now plan for the holiday season.

The best news is that you can get started with watching the holiday special as the first four minutes have been released as seen below.


The Santa Clause Trilogy

Release Date: December 12th – US Only

All three of The Santa Clause movies: The Santa Clause (1994), The Santa Clause 2 (2002) and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006) will be heading to Netflix early in December. The movies come from Disney and stars Tim Allen who accidentelly kills Santa Clause and has to take over his position. It’s arguably one of the biggest Christmas titles in history and is most welcome to the Netflix library.


Love Actually

Release Date: December 14th – Netflix UK

Perhaps the biggest romance driven Christmas movie is coming to Netflix UK in December. Starring one of the most British casts of all time, it follows eight different couples in London in the lead up to Christmas.


Christmas Inheritance (2017)

Release Date: December 15th – Netflix US

Not much is known about the upcoming romance drama starring Eliza Taylor, Jake Lacy and Andie MacDowell but we do have some snippets of information that can give us a good idea of what to expect. Directed by Ernie Barbarash it’ll see an heiress stranded in a town needing to deliver a gift to inherit her fathers business and in the meantime discovers the true gift of Christmas in the form of love.


Miss Me This Christmas (2017)

Release Date: December 19th – Netflix US

Premiering first on TVOne on December 3rd, it’ll arrive on Netflix later in the month. The hour and half movie will star Erica Ash, Redaric Williams and Eva Marcille in a comedy where a couple decides to get divorced on Christmas day that’ll take place at a Christmas party at The Chesterton Hotel.


You Can’t Fight Christmas (2017)

Release Date: December 19th – Netflix US

Another TVOne special will be making its way onto Netflix on December 15th too in the form of You Can’t Fight Christmas. In the movie we’ll see a Christmas designed played by Brely Evans who’s job it is to decorate the Chesterton Hotel. Does this movie link with the movie above or is Chesterton sponsoring these movies? We’re not sure.

Leslie will have to fight to keep the hotel continuing the annual tradition as new owners look to stop the speciail holiday celebrations.


Krampus

Release Date: December 19th – Netflix UK

Adam Scott stars in this Christmas horror comedy that if you’ve seen Scott’s 2017 Netflix Original movie Little Evil, this will certainly delight. The movie is about a young boy who accidentelly summoons a festive demon to the house.
