Netflix is carrying the 2019 romantic drama, After in many regions. Here’s a full breakdown of what regions are streaming After, whether the United States will carry the movie on Netflix and everything else you need to know.
The romantic drama directed by Jenny Gage based on the 2014 adult novel by Anna Todd received very harsh reviews from critics and fans when it first released. It stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin.
The movie saw theatrical releases back in April 2019 in the United States and Canada. Most European regions also got the movie released in April 2019 too. The movie also released theatrically in Australia at the beginning of July 2019.
Where is ‘After’ currently streaming on Netflix?
Only a small handful of countries are currently streaming After and most got the movie added on July 12th or July 13th, 2019.
The United Kingdom is the main region that got After streaming and according to Unogs, three Asian territories did too. These being: Hong Kong, Japan, and Thailand.
When will After be on Netflix in the US, Australia or Canada?
At the moment, we don’t know what the release schedule for After will be. In any case, they won’t come to Netflix as a Netflix Original.
Netflix did distribute another of Voltage Pictures titles from Sundance with them exclusively distributing Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, And Vile earlier in the year. Aviron has no overall output deals so depending on how well the movie performs on Netflix UK (and it looks as though it did) Netflix may get the movie added in each region in the pay-1 window. Which means we’ll probably see After available on Netflix in late 2019 or early 2020.
Also for fans looking for a sequel, we’ve got good news. In May 2019, a month after its US release got announced that a second movie is in production.
That’s all we know about when After on Netflix. Let us know in the comments whether you want to see the movie available in your region.
