Are the Scream Movies on Netflix?

Halloween means that we’re once again looking for the biggest and best horror movies on Netflix which leads us to ask the question; are any of the Scream movies currently streaming on Netflix?

Scream has been among the several horror movies to be recently moved onto the TV format with The Exorcist and The Rocky Horror Picture Show also making the transition to television. The movies of Scream are far reaching and very influential being the movie that introduced horror to a brand new generation also posed as a coming of age movie too.

Scream was the brainchild of Wes Craven who is also behind the Nightmare on Elm Street movies which saw fit to revolutionize the horror movie industry in a time where horror movies were dying as such.

Scream Movies on Netflix

The first movie (which is also the best) called just Scream (1996) is the origin story and sets the stage for the movies to follow. Sidney is a young girl trying to get over the death of her mother when she’s stalked by a mysterious killer.

The first movie can be found on several Netflix regions including the United Kingdom, Australia, many European countries and Nordic regions too.

Scream 2 (1997) is available on Netflix in the United States, Australia, Nordic countries, and France.

Scream 3 (2000) is available in Australia, some European countries, and Finland.

Scream 4 (2011) the most recent Scream movie before the introduction to the TV series. Sadly Australia doesn’t have all four, but South America and Nordic countries are both streaming the forth movie.

Unless you’re in Australia, you’re not going to be able to do anything resembling a Scream binge. What’s more likely for most is that TV series will be your Netflix title of choice throughout the Halloween season which currently has two season available in most Netflix regions.

Which is your favorite Scream movie and do you prefer them over the new TV series? Let us know in the comment section.
