The film which spent years dormant before Netflix finally came along to see it through to the end has finally seen the light of day. With an all-star cast of leading men, it’s highly likely you’ll recognize some if not all the members of the retired group if grizzled veterans. Triple Frontier is a Netflix Original action-thriller directed by J.C. Chandor. The film had been put on hold for a number of years before Netflix acquired the rights to the film. Chandor and renowned journalist Mark Boal wrote the screenplay for Triple Frontier. Mark Boal other famous work include Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt Locker. The film has a star-studded cast of some of Hollywood’s best leading men and is easily one of the most exciting films on Netflix to date.
Ben Affleck – Tom ‘Redfly’ Davis
Affleck has had a turbulent couple of years but notably over the past decade has had some very high profile roles. Most notably Affleck is the most recent out of a notable selection of actors to portray the Dark Knight Aka Batman. His appointment as Batman split the opinion of many in half. Once pictures released of Affleck in the suit no one could deny he more than looked the part to play the Batman. He has since left the role but featured 3 times as the Caped Crusader in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016) and Justice League (2017). Originally Affleck was set to direct the upcoming Batman film but pulled of out the director’s seat and ultimately he has parted ways with the role for good.

Besides acting Affleck has taken an active role in becoming a producer and a director. His most notable time as a director was for the film Argo (2012) which received great critical reception from fans and critics alike. With Affleck standing down as the Batman he may decide to put his creative vision into directing more films.

Oscar Isaac – Santiago ‘Pope’ Garcia
Oscar Isaac is currently experiencing some of his best years as an actor as he continues to receive high profile roles in some massive films. The Miami raised actor’s most notable role is starring in the latest Star Wars trilogy as ace-pilot and Captain of the Resistance Poe Dameron. Despite the controversy surrounding Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi, Isaac has been consistently one of the most fun actors to watch in the latest trilogy. He reprised his role as Poe Dameron in the animated series Star Wars Resistance.

The most exciting roles Isaac has coming up is for 2 rebooted franchises. He will star as the new Gomez Addams in the latest Adams Family film. Isaac will also play the role of Duke Leto Atreides in the remake of sci-fi classic Dune.

Charlie Hunnam – William ‘Ironhead’ Miller
Hunnam’s rise to fame came through his leading role in AMC’s Sons of Anarchy playing the role of Jackson ‘Jax’ Teller. The series ran for a total of 7 seasons from 2008 to 2014. Since the series has ended Hunnam starred in Pacific Rim (2013) and played King Arthur in Guy Ritchie’s adaptation of the classic British tale King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017). Eagle-eyed football fans may have recognized Hunnam for his appearance in Green Street (2005) as Pete Dunham leader of a West Ham football firm.

He starred in fantasy flop Eragon (2006) but his most well-known role wasn’t until Tron: Legacy (2010), playing the role of Sam Flynn. Hedlund has starred in plenty of titles since but his most notable role wouldn’t be until 2017 when he starred as Jamie McAllen in Netflix Original Mudbound.

Pedro Pascal – Francisco ‘Catfish’ Morales
Pedro Pascal’s career has predominantly been centered around television over films but that begun to change since his appearance in Game of Thrones. Oberyn Martell was the stand out character of the fourth season of HBO’s fantasy drama, and the role gave Pedro Pascal the time to shine and show off his charisma. Pascal had a leading role in the Netflix Original series Narcos as Javier Pena. He has since starred in films such as The Great Wall (2016) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017).
It’s an exciting time for Pedro Pascal as the actor will be starring in the Wonder Woman prequel and he has been cast as the lead in The Mandalorian a brand new Star Wars series exclusive to Disney+.

Adria Arjona – Yovanna
Adria is the youngest of the core cast at only 26 years of age. The actress has had a great start to her career by starring in HBO’s True Detective. Adria also starred in Narcos like Pedro Pascal but only appeared in one episode. She has since gone on to star as Dorothy in the TV series Emerald City and provided her voice to video game phenomenon Fortnite as Ramirez. She also starred alongside Melissa McCarthy in the comedy Life of the Party.
Sony has its own Marvel Universe planned by using the characters from Spiderman’s rogue’s gallery. Adria will star in Morbius which is scheduled to release in 2020. The film is based upon the Marvel character of the same name Morbius: The Living Vampire.
