We Are the Wave is a Netflix Original German coming-of-age drama series, loosely based on the novel The Wave by author Morton Rhue. This is the third project adapted by The Wave, after the 2008 film of the same name and TV special. We Are the Wave was directed by Anca Miruna Lăzărescu and Mark Monheim.

What is the plot of We Are the Wave?

When a group of angry teens is led by a new boy in class to pursue a dream of a better future, they begin to revolt against the establishment. With their futures on the line, will the purpose really justify the means?
