Marvel’s next entry after Avengers: Infinity War is finally releasing in cinemas after several years of waiting. The sequel to the original Ant-Man will be coming to Netflix in multiple regions as part of pre-existing contracts. Here’s when we should be expecting Ant-Man and the Wasp on Netflix.
The sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man is a long-awaited follow-up and will introduce yet another character into the ever-growing MCU. This film will serve as a respite to the events that occurred earlier in the year thanks to the Infinity War movie.
Ant-Man is one of the smallest heroes in the MCU but certainly not one of the weakest. He’s subsequently appeared in Captain America: Civil War but was noticeably absent from the earlier Marvel movie this year. In the sequel, Scott Lang is tasked with finding out secrets from his past with a new sidekick.
The movie releases in cinemas in the United States on July 6th after premiering on June 25th at the El Capitan Theatre.
Despite the first movie not streaming on Netflix in most regions except for one region, we are expecting the sequel to land on Netflix but not until 2019.
Ant-Man and the Wasp Netflix Release Date
Both the United States and Canada are expected to be receiving the upcoming Marvel movie. With that said, there is a chance that the United States will not get the movie. This is because the Netflix contract is coming to an end. We don’t know whether titles that would release after the 2019 cut-off are excluded.
For both the US and Canada, the average wait between its cinema and Netflix release date is between eight and nine months. That means you can expect the movie to land between March and April 2019.
What about other regions?
Sadly, Canada and the United States are the only two regions that we know will be getting the movie. For those in the United Kingdom, Disney has an existing contract with Sky so you’ll need a NowTV subscription to stream.
