When will Part 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt S4 be on Netflix?

What happened to all thirteen episodes in season 4 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt!? You’re not going mad, season 4 has been chopped up into two parts with part 2 expected to be coming to Netflix later in 2018. Below, we’ll give you the lowdown of what we know about part 2 of season 4 including when we’re expecting its release and more.

Unlike several shows on Netflix that operate on a short schedule that most, they announce the release of the next bunch of episodes towards the end of the season. That’s not the case with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt so we’ll have to dig a little deeper.

Let’s first bring anyone up to speed on a couple of things. Let’s start off with what the show is about. The NBC styled comedy that Netflix picked up several years back stars Ellie Kemper as an ex-prisoner of a cult leader and now must find herself in New York. Throughout the three seasons up until recently, Kimmy has managed to make several friends, find an apartment, get a job and have a boyfriend.

Do other shows split their seasons?

Of all of Netflix’s comedy shows, quite a few are split up into two halves. The reason for this is to keep interest in the series year round and give the impression that no time is passing between seasons. The practice was first made famous by The Ranch which from the very first season back in 2015 split up its shows into two parts. Disjointed and Fuller House also follow this practice. Funnily enough, it’s only comedies which follow this route.

Isn’t the show ending?

Yes. Sadly, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s fourth season will be her final.

When will Part 2 be streaming?

With the other shows that follow this release schedule, they typically arrive six months apart from each other. That’s exactly what Netflix is doing as it’s announced that the final season will be coming in January 2019. Specifically, the remaining six episodes will be added on January 25th, 2019.

Are you looking forward to the final 6 episodes that will round off Kimmie’s adventure? Do you agree with our staff writer who thinks that Titus should get his own spinoff show? There’s also a rumour of a movie too, would you watch? Sound off in the comments down below.
