Disney Movies Coming to Netflix in 2019

Welcome to your final look at what’s coming to Netflix from Disney throughout 2019. This will include all of the theatrical releases from Disney, Marvel and Star Wars that are due to come to Netflix in the United States throughout the course of 2019.

This list covers all the Disney movies coming to the United States Netflix. As you may know, Netflix had a deal with Disney from 2016 to 2019 that meant all new theatrical releases come to Netflix around 9 months after the release in cinemas.

Canadians can expect this list and more to come to Netflix. We’ll do a separate post in early 2019 that’s specifically for Canadians. The Brits can also expect these movies to release in your country but Disney titles come out roughly two and a half years after the release in theatres with Sky taking up the license first.

Remember too that all Disney movies that come to Netflix will leave after a year and a half.

Also, it’s worth noting that the Disney deal only applies to new titles. Older releases will likely continue coming to Netflix but are dealt with on a case by case basis.

For a full list of Disney movies on Netflix, we’re keeping an ongoing monthly list here.

Disney Movies Coming in 2019

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

Theatrical Release: November 21st, 2018
Expected Netflix Release: May 2019 – August 2019

If you’re looking for a Christmas treat in the middle of 2019, then Disney’s big Christmas release for 2018 is The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The movie stars Keira Knightley, Mackenzie Foy, Eugenio Derbez, Matthew Macfadyen and Richard E. Grant. The movie replaced Mulan for its slot this year.

Ralph Breaks the Internet

Theatrical Release: November 21st, 2018
Expected Netflix Release: May 2019 – August 2019

It turns out one of the final Disney movies coming to Netflix, in fact, includes every Disney movie. Wreck-It Ralph was insanely popular when it released back in 2012 and this next movie is set to up the ante by quite a lot. The movie will feature pretty much every iconic Disney character as Ralph gets connected to the internet and goes exploring.

Mary Poppins Returns

Theatrical Release: December 19th, 2018
Expected Netflix Release: July 2019 – September 2019

Mary Poppins will be the final Disney movie coming to Netflix as part of this deal. It doesn’t necessarily spell the end for Disney on Netflix overall, but it certainly is a line in the sand.

It seems appropriate that one of the biggest Disney icons will be the final Netflix release being the return of Mary Poppins. It’s been five decades since the original 1964 release landed on people’s screens and Disney wasn’t the business juggernaut that it is now.

We’ll update this post over the course of the year to keep you up-to-date with all the Disney releases. Let us know in the comments what movie you’re looking forward to in the comments below.
